Wondering if they have started biting yet
Caught 15 or so Saturday drifting between the dam and the launch
Where is cupress
Benton, La.
Got me!! Central la
Fished it today. Caught 10 or so. All small, only 2 even close to keeper size. I talked to 2 others coming out and they did about the same as I did
The boys and I went Monday only caught 1 keeper size
Marked lots of fish but could not make them bite.
Fished 10 to 18 fow in 20 to 25 ft deep near the spillway with jigs and shinners.
But it was great just getting out on the water after the big freeze.
Lowbidr how deep you fishing and what you using to catch those.
BTW welcome to the forum.
I was fishing 3/8 weight on bottom with my hook about 10" above it with shiners. I let it hit bottom, reel up 2 or 3 turns, 10' poles. Things should get exciting later this week. I'm from Bossier, leaving tomorrow to go stay with a friend who lives on Darbonne to try them for a few days.
18-20 f.o.w. fishing 16-17, pretty much on bottom
Sounds like you had a good trip Lowbidr, and welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the welcome guys, I'm in a tiny camo 15' Sea Ark with a Tiller Johnson 25, I'll keep an eye out.
Fits good in a duck blind though

I went yesterday and caught 30 or 35. All blacks, all male, all small. Wont be much longer and they will be there. Gets later and later every year
caught mine the same way. 3/8 oz. weight on the bottom with 2 jigs above it. Water temp 47 to 48, but jumped to 50 in 9 to 10 ft depth
I caught mine casting a 1/8oz jig bouncing it off the edge of the channel.
