It'll look like you kicked a fire ant hill...............
I plan on pulling my camper up there next week and set up so I can be first in line :Rofl
There is not enough money in thr world for me to get in that mess the first week or so. But if i were going i beleive i would get off of 85 at the motor mile exit and go in the back door so to speak.
Augusta opening March 22nd. With Gander Mountain opening in the fall. All these businesses tryin to take my money. They know my weakness.
And not a stinking one in Columbia, except Academy, located on the east side of Columbia 35 miles from me. :banghead
They are supposed to open another Academy at Harbison in an existing building, but I have not seen an opening date. I hate going to Harbison because of the traffice, but it beats driving 35 miles in traffic! Thank goodness for Dooleys, and they serve breakfast too. :highfive
I saw on the news tonight that the founder of Cabelas died today.
2 brothers started Cabelas? Right or am i wrong?

hoping it will pull a bass pro shop in to anderson
I'm planning on going with Ronnie and helping him spend his money.:biggrin:biggrin:biggrin
I have family members who are police, works for Greenville county, and friends that work for news 4. They all said that bps was gonna build here in Greenville, didn't go through, Spartanburg, and then Anderson. They all said the reason they was not going to build in the upstate was because South Carolina ( the upstate) would not give in to all the tax breaks land at very low cost and not wanting to put a lot into the project. Since then I give them very little of my business. Plus there higher on most everything. I have hunting clothes from other stores that last 5 times longer than bps brands. There tackle and knives are 3-4 times higher than local stores. Example dexter knives at bps 20-50 dollars. At Johnny's tackle in north myrtle beach 5-18 dollars. Last time I was there I bought 4 knives for the price of one at bps. Cabelas is cheaper and better quality.
Nothing but eye candy. I'd be nice having the store closeby. You can pick out something you want to buy and go home and buy it cheaper over the 'net. That way you get to liook at it before buying instead of guessing the quality of something. Academy prices are still WAY better than Cabelas, much less BPS.
It will be nice to have a Cabelas in Greenville but it will be a little disappointing to me. I have been to the Cabelas in Dundee Michigan and it is more than twice the size of the one in Greenville . I am sure the Greenville store will be nice but I wish they had put it elsewhere. Woodruff road is parking lot at all times of the day.But I know that I will brave the traffic and be there sometime.
while the store might be smaller than some of their others (Been to that Dundee store magnum, it is a nice one) you can buy anything online or out of the catalog and have it shipped to the store for no charge and pick it up there.
As far as buying I agree . It is just that part of the experience of Cabela's is seeing the store itself. You having been in the Dundee store makes you know what I am saying. I took some friends of mine to the Dundee store and they were in the store four hours just looking at the displays. Cabela's is not the disappointment, just the store itself.
They're suppossed to have the "mountain" in the middle of the store. Hope they have the fish tanks as well. The trout stream at Dundee is pretty awesome.
Skip the line and just grab a long handled net.....then run!!:yikes
