Would like to try out some adjustments to some electronics. I know Drake Harbor and the ramp at the dam are frozen over. Would like to launch at the old city ramp by the bridge. Last Wednesday the channel had a skim of ice everywhere. Has the last few warmer days opened the main channel? Hate to pull a boat down to find ice.
Still had skim ice on the main channel. Water on top of ice. This was Friday evening. Hope the sun and wind take care of it.

Today it don't look much better. Hope the sun and wind will do its thing.
Tonight the ice was breaking up. Should be good by Wednesday.

Everharts got some today
They finally got in the minnow ponds today to start delivering again. We got 2000 today and hopefully can get more next week when the ponds completely thaw. They are good sized ones to.
came thorough warsaw yesterday afternoon water looked open on both sides of bridge but lookin up towards the dam at the bend looked like ice???

They are a few days out but you should be able to launch at the old city ramp on the east bank just above the swinging bridge.
Is that North off of highway 7? To the North of Casey's?

Thanks guys. New to posting to the boards but I've been reading them for a while. You guys are all very helpful.
I was going to wait a few weeks before I went but my dad is visiting this weekend and it is supposed to be nice tomorrow so figured we'd at least get in a good road trip! (I live up by Higginsville).
Think we are going to try to target walleye but probably will fish whatever we can find! Will at least see if we can get the boat launched. Will update you if we end up going and our successes/failures!

Welcome to this site. Drake Harbor is now useable. The dock is
still taped off and some thin ice floating around the cove.
Watch out when backing in for people threw several rocks
on top of the ice over the last month. Good luck.
