Bash Results?

OK, Who won? Who lost? Who went home crying like a little Girl? The good the bad and the Ugly. The pics? Who flicked the bird to the camera man? who fell in the drink at the ramp? Did the Mysterious Man in the Orange Hat show up? We need answers.CF

The coolest thing that happened today was a young Lady name Madison fishing with Dad on a cold, rainy, windy February day. Cool boots, camo, pink coat. And off they went with a smile. Way to go!

Neither trophy came home with me. Did catch a dozen small crappie and one dink perch. How about it guys. Fess up. Dean got some pics. I didn't break out the camera. There was 17 anglers today.

Wheww it got nasty towards the end. Surprisingly the bite was better for me when the rain/sleet blew sideways. Overall water clarity was awful and lots of debris floating around. I ended up with 4 bass, 1 rockfish, 1 pike, 1 blue cat, 1 crappie, and about 15 yellow perch. Most everything today were dinks! My best perch went 10 oz . The winner had a 12 oz fish, didn't catch the name. And not sure on the winning crappie. Congrats to the winners and a great effort by all to fish through that mess.

It was good seeing some of the gang there. Just call me a BIG wimp!!!! I fished till 11: 30 with only two hits and the way my boat was leaking I decided to head out. I need to pick up the newer boat I am going to buy. Well guys is the next bash going to be at Kerr???

As I mentioned in another thread, I only had 4 small crappie and a catfish and the weather was deteriorating fast so I headed home at 1:00. I just don't have the same passion for staying out on the water since losing my wife Christmas Day.

Congrats to Windjinx for biggest perch and JD? For biggest crappie? I think the perch went 12 oz and crappie went 14oz

It was rough, a long ride back from NC with a 14' boat, 9.9 and two right hand gloves haha... M&Ms made it better. I only caught dinks, lost one nice perch well over a lb on a canepole, saw him and a stiff wind blew and I almost dove in after it! Most everything I caught was 9-10 fow right on the bottom. And had to be still if I was moving I'd bump the trolling motor into the wind and soon as the cork stood straight up it would plunge.

A big roun of applause for all who stuck it out, I sat in the truck for 10 mins warming up around 130. Then went and sat under the bridge with Dayton.

Here's my catch of dinks I think I had 1 bass 13 crappie and 5 yp and yes I bought minnows, it's nice to watch corks with your hands in your pocket when it's nasty

Yes indeed. I ended up with the winning crappie, with a 15oz one and had a few other decent ones to go with it. Second place had the 14oz one. I ended up catching 14 crappie, 6 dink yellow perch, 1 nice size white perch (12 oz), 1 striper, 1 large gar (probably 3 1/2'), 1 mudfish about 6lbs. Most fish caught prior to 12:00pm not much after the front really set in. Most of my fish came in 8 to 11 ft of water and like Bennet said not much boat movement. Most fish came on jig-minnow combos.

Ok call us a BIG WIMP to. Side Kick had no rain gear was wet and cold, feet numb. My knee was going out from under me. Other joints hurting. Slow bite, rain. OK you get the picture. We left about 11:30, was going to slide in under the bridge but needed to get warm and dry. The best part was seeing everyone again, plus some new ones. CF I know where that ramp is, JD great to see you again, Dalton you to and Jim.B, and you George. Times will get better for you, as you are in our prayers and thoughts. I for one will never forget the times we fished out at Northwest. Ok NEXT ? Bennet what about Franklin, Chick, LCR. Kerr might be a bust for a while. GeneC and DOC can give us more info but I don't trust our government too tell the truth as if the fish are healthy or not. Again the company was the best of the day.

this sounds like the 2009 Dec Bash I won with the 3 pounder...rainin, sleetin, snowin and the wind blowin very hard...Congrats to all that endured!! Dave, I don't trust the guv either! rite now the COE is holdin the water, but they can't do that forever. most of the crappie will have already moved up the creeks, as indicated by Bobcats contest last w/e. but the trouble will be when they move back to the main lake after the spawn. Can't do no more than wait an see.

Congrats to the winners. It brings back a lot of fond memories of some of my trips with Roy. One of these day we will have a bash with perfect weather. Maybe.

Congrats to the winners. I know it was tuff. When I was headed back home from seeing the blast off, I hit rain at Hertford about 15 minutes away from home and it stayed nasty. Checked the radar and knew it was going to be a nasty bash from 11am on. Glad I wimped out after I hit that rain. Got half of the best part anyway seeing everybody that decided to tough it out. And got that big old Hug from Boscoe via Dayton. Boscoe, Daytons looking for You to return the hug. Your going to have to get down low though or Dayton will be wrapping around your pants leg like a dog! Hopefully the weather will be better next year and be just freezing with 25mph winds without the rain. Hope You guys didn't get hammered by the wind we got here at home at just after 3. It got nasty here with gusts to 40. I was thinking of Y'all being in that while trying to load Your boats. Tahoe 50, was good to finally shake Your hand. Loaded at that ramp today. Sorry for the delay but family first after being gone all day. I had the biggest perch it was 12oz and 11" and the first fish of the day for me! Tom and I sat in the 11-14 foot hole straight out from the park next to the island all day. We didn't catch a one the last 2 hours but had good rain gear. I loved to see everyone and was glad that since I was at the first one so many years ago that I could finely win one. Hope to make Kerr before I move to the Keys in May. Thanks for the trophy Dayton, truly a nice thing to do bud.
