I've had all the cabin fever I can take. I'm going fishing in the morning. Weather should be nice. I don't care if I catch a fish, I just need to be on the water.

Catch a bunch BT, have a great weekend. Lets see some pics.
Where u gona (try) to park ur truck?
Hey BT; what does your boat look like and what part of the lake to you plan to fish. I'm going to try them for a little while this morning; haven't had a chance to go much lately.
His is the prettiest Blue Boat on the lake. You cant miss it!!!!!!
Good luck
Sorry I didn't check this last night but I so happened to run into freebird and souther chutter on the water today. It was great visiting with you two. It was tough today, the wind was brutal. I ended with 13. I spent the last part of the day hiding in corney and them the wind shifted an I just called it quits. Wind is supposed to be a little calmer tomorrow. I might go back or I may go to caney. I haven't made up my mind yet.
No soccer this weekend. Planning on heading up there Sunday morning. Keep us posted. Good luck.
13 is not the definition of "brutal".....good job in tough conditions....you are a very good fisherman BT.
13 is real good in the windy conditions we had here today, and the weather we have had this past week.
better luck tomorrow (with the wind that is).
Congratulations Blue Thunder. I hope I have a "brutal" day one day next week after I get my boat back on Monday. 13 sounds like just the right amount to me. Were they still deep in the channel?
Yes they were pastor. 25-30 fow 16-18 feet deep.
Went back on yesterday and finished with 29. Only had 3 at 1 o'clock. I left at 4:30. It was kinda hard to keep up with the rods at one point. Lol took a couple pics. Attachment 151296Attachment 151297
Where are all the dark black Crappie? have not seen any this year in the channel. Buy the way good catch Thunder
good catching dude....
Good catch BT
ooooooh yeah....
Very nice, looks like quality fish there.
Nice fish BlueThunder! Thanks for the pictures.
If you mean dark black by the underneath their belly and around their jaw line, those are males and won't get the pigment that causes that for another month or so. Happens during the spawn. If you're talking about an actual black crappie species (spotted instead of lined like a white crappie) there aren't many of those in Lake D'Arbonne, but the ones that are caught there are more abundant up the creeks.
Thanks for sharing your report. I need to get out there so bad but will need to wait until after Mar 1.
Monster Jam in Dallas this weekend then Denver for work the following week. At least I get to ride on our corporate jet... No The and the and rental is on the tarmac when we land.
I did take off the week of March 1 and probably gonna cancel our flight to Orlando (wife is due in early March) so I'll hopefully have plenty of time.
After Mar 1 will just be better. Just have to go when u can.
If any of U guys see a little blue and white Tidecraft stick steering boat its me. "Boone" I need all the tips I can get. Please help, I am desperate to learn this Crappie fishing. Not nearly as much problems catching bass or bream. I fish with the same color as the other guys around me and they are catching fish, I don't catch nearly as many as they do.
Boone, if u see me I'm in a black war eagle stick steer. Holler at me. I'll keep an eye out for ya.
Same concept in crappie fishing. That's why I keep binoculars in my boat. Lol. Just don't be afraid to get out if your comfort zone. Ask someone what they are using. Most of the time they will tell you (I know I will). Good luck to you and if you ever see a bright blue xpress, please say hello. Rodger aka Blue Thunder
