Compared to 2-2.50 a dozen, 14 bux a pound ain't bad if ya don't have other options. On #6 minners, mediums by most standards, that's almost 14 dozen which equates to about a buck a dozen.
If ya got friends near Paragould or the minnow farms, they run about 6.50 a pound or so.
I pay about $6 a pound at Toad Suck, I THINK. I usually buy a half pound. I usually get ice and coffee and this and that, so I have seldom thought to separate the prices. But it ain't more than $14.00 for ice, minnows, coffee, donuts, sammich, whatever I buy, ever. I think Bates in Mayflower is about the same. I don't know about Beaverfork new spot, need to check that out. But $14 a pound ain't cheap!!
Where is the minnow farm in Paragould that you are buying them for $6.50 lb? I'll go get some and put them in a vat.Quote:
