Yahoo got hacked back at the end of last month. They said thousands of passwords had been stolen and recommended everyone change their password. Did you happen to use the same password for your Paypal that you do for your email account? If so that's a big no no. Also you should always delete any Paypal/bank/or any other important messages that come to your email if they have an account link in them. That way if someone does hack your email then they can't just log into your account through a link

Yep... I have stepped up my security on everything. Changed all my passwords and set up txt notifications. I don't use the same Passwords on my email and accounts that deal with money but those suckers are slick! This is the 2nd time my yahoo email has been hacked in the last 3 years. Yahoo sucks! Bet they don't get me at yahoo again. Shut'n that sucker DOWN!

Life lock is a very good investment

I understand the general concept with life lock but how does that work with purchases that go through your Paypal account?

pay-pal goes thru your bank or credit card and they're monitored by Life-Lock

I sell a fair amount of stuff on eBay and I always have money IN my Paypal account, not necessarily just using Paypal as a 3rd party to pay through my checking account. So in this instance life lock wouldn't prevent some sorry sob from draining my Paypal funds correct?

Found out what the deal is. They hack your account and buy Gift certificates then sell them on Ebay for about 80 cents on the dollar.

Your Pay Pal has been verified so it is connected to a credit card and or a bank account.
Oh yea if you didn't know pay pal will not let you use there service if you are paying for a gun or ammunition.

Life lock is a good idea these days and they send you notification when a sex offender shows up in you zip code. Nice to know if you have little kids.
And I can access my credit score at no charge any time I want.
