Hey folks new to forum
I fished for crappie alot while stationed in OK but when I came here to AR in 1999 all I did was fish bass tournaments. Two years ago I kind of got back into crappie fishing. I have used minnows and corks but I prefer to use a leadhead grub and cast 90% of the time.
Last night I bought a 4 rod driftmaster to set up for spider rigging. It should arrive sometime this week. One of the questions i have is about mounting it to my boat (G3 1548). Do the screws hold the driftmaster securly without wollowing out the screwholes or should I bolt the base in place?
The other question I have and I understand I am not yet known is would anyone be willing to let me go with you to see how spider rigging is done?
Thanks
Pac in Beebe

Welcome
I have all of my DriftMasters secured with 1.5" deck screws to any plywood in the boat.
I don't have a trip planned anytime soon. I would suggest making a trip to the Pool/Cove on Conway on a busy weekend. You will be able to see just about any method you want to there.
Beware!!!!
First it is spider rigging, then, it is pulling cranks. Then there goes the kid's college fund.

I seldom fishing anyway but verticle jig with a jig pole anymore. But there are lots of folks who still love spiderrigging who will share a seat or info. If you don't care to spend some cash there are guides that will take out and show ya the ropes.

Welcome, it was the other way around for me, first the kid's out of college, then pulling cranks, now I'm interested in maybe spider rigging too. But I'm more like NIMROD hate to give up single poling with jigs. Love the thump. I don't spider rig yet but I'm up for a fishing trip sometime.

The kids are all grown so that is taken care of. I do have a brand new grandson (our first) that hopefully will like to fish. That will be a few years down the road but when it is time I want to be ready.
