Tough Day

Finally had a day off when the temperature was above 30 and the winds less than 30. Fishing was good but the catching was tough. Only caught 3 but they were all good fish. The best thing from the day was the scenery. I went up Middle Fork above the island and found some ice. Man that's some nice scenery! I went to Choctaw a couple of weeks ago and the fish were stacked in there up the river a little ways but I only got one to bite. Last year about this time we caught em good just out from the private boat launch on the right just past the second set of power lines in Middle Fork.

Ive never been to that lake. Very very pretty!

The third picture is where you are referring to. Its hard to tell but if you loo close you can see the ice from bank to bank.

I don't think I've ever seen it that still. It's usually white capping when I'm in there!

I love that lake. I like fishing up there in the spring when the waterfalls are running. There's one on the left on the way up Middle Fork that is beautiful if you catch it when it's running good.

Good deal on catching 3.. What was the water temp up in Middle Fork?

40 at the mouth 36 above the island. Waterfalls are running now, should have gotten a picture of it partially frozen.

That area where you're talking about, when I was growing up there that was called Peter Rock hole, used to catch a lot of fish
