Can't live without southern pro tri color tubes with black head orange body chart tail with black pepper throughout.
G-Daddy Crappie Baits with baked in scent. These are plastics.
Favorite all time is color not model or brand. Again different water ( color ) tells me what to fish. From experience over the years not all lakes or water gives you the success if you are not flexible to change it up some. My go to color for Eufaula is pumpkin/chart.
Tenkiller is Black Shad and Salt n Pepper..... Ft Gibson is Pearl
I can go on and on. .......Ranger
Carl Jones famous lightning strike jigs. There a little pricey, but I always have better luck with those than other jigs.
Ranger, now that you brought it up, what is your two or three goto model and brand. I have way to many plastic baits, I need to get down to some goto baits. Then if that doesn't work I can start on the other million. dj
Crazy Angler Slab Bandits and lil Rascels
Bobby Garlands Baby Shad and Slab Slayers
Yum Beavertails and Wolly Bees
I have some of G Daddy's baits and they look awesome but hadn't had a chance to try them yet.
Thanks, Ranger
That will help me start getting down to some goto boxes for the eastern part of the state. I know water color, clarity, time of year, what they are feeding on, active, non-active fish, will all play a part. I have sometime just changed jig head color and started getting bit. Experience is a great teacher.
Neil, my personal favorites are the ones that hook em'! Obviously I left that box at the house Friday! :banghead
Lol that is funny!

Well the 1st one is the Marks's Special and like Frank will say it was burned 2/11/14 and put into action 2/13/14 on Tenkiller Crappie and it makes em hungry.....Thanks Frank......Ranger
Black and chartreuse anything.
I would not say I have an actual favorite jig, seems like crappie like such a variety. Here is a few jigs that I have been using lately from Ol' Shoot Bank Custom Jigs and I have been doing real well. I have only been using them in two bodies of water, but have done real well by getting my limits within 2 hours. I team them up with SlabSlobber and a 1/16th ounce jig head.

Very nice looking stuff!
We got some mixed colored slab bandits from robert that I traded him rods for, there were some corn colored with blue fleck 3" that we killed on at Eufaula last year.......but thats not my my fav color. I really have to say pump./ chart. For big fish. Elec. Chicken for numbers.
I like the same assortment most here have mentioned. Bobby Garland, Slab Bandits, Thump Buddies, etc. But, while not my favorite, there is one rubber body and color that has been the most productive for me over the years. I always have one with me ready to tie on when needed. It is the Charlie Brewer Crappie Slider in Pumpkin/Chartreuse tail. I catch big and small Crappie on it. I have also caught three Largemouth over 9 pounds, one over 10 pounds, Catfish to eight pounds, and numerous large Smallmouth, Largemouth, Walleye, Saugeye, Wipers, Stripers, Sand Bass and all sorts of dinky bream on it. It just catches fish! I usually just rig it straight on a Crappie jig but sometimes use it with the weedless Crappie slider jig. It's always in my bag.
Leland requested a few custom colors.

The pearl and chartreuse sure looks good. The pumpkin/ pink should be a killer too.
My fav is the crappie rockets make by CW Wilson out of Hillsboro Mo. Great jigs and very durable. 300+ fish per jig is not uncommon.
YUMM beavertails black/chart and chart glitter
Don't have one favorite. Usually switch colors even if they are biting well.
But brown/orange hair jig, white marabou with silver wrap on body, black/chartreuse marabou, and purple/pink marabou have all produced very well at lakes in Oklahoma, Missouri, and Illinois.
