I was there in 96 but I'm pretty sure Fremont st is still pretty spectacular with the overhead light show.
Was here in 95, plan to go back this year. It's a sight to behold , I know it's changed a lot in 20 years.
Have not been since 91
Think it was 2005 when we went. Went to a huge Halloween ball out there.
I lived 156 miles west of there back in 1977 when I went in the Army. Flew out of Nellis A.F.B. going back to Germany in 1979 after emergency leave when my Bother past. But haven't been back since. Everything I knew of is gone. The strip has totally changed. Might see if there's something going on at the race track. Wish you luck...and have a fun trip...Eric
I worked at Mercury, Nv back in the 60s. Went to Vagas many times. My best memories are of The Mint, where I actually won 100 silver dollars. I still have a few of them. And there was the Fronteer, remember Howdy Partners...
If u have access to wheels and a day, go to the Hoover Dam, Death Valley, Mt Charleston, and the long gone Ash Meadows...
You'll have plenty of company, CONEXPO will be going on during that time. Just visiting the different big casino complexes is pretty interesting. Don't know that I could handle that many days in Vegas.
I took a week long radiation class out at the Mercury test site several years ago. We stayed at a casino at night. It was interesting to me, just to walk around on the strip and people watch. You see all kinds!
Haven't been since '78 but enjoyed a few shows.
Stay away from the wedding Chapels. :-)
That's where Lori and I got married.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/02/07/henu8y3a.jpg

Need to go downtown to Freemont Street. Also if you have the time about 1 1/2 hours north is Zion National Park. It's spectacular.
Look at you Bill with that long hair, look like a Rock Star.
I LOVE me some Vegas, Baby!!! Freemont Street is a blast. I don't gamble, but the shows and the pools and the food and the clubs are absolutely fabulous.

Went out there years ago on a business trip. Hover Dam was interesting. Other than that I was bored stiff. Some of the people there with me liked it so much they have gone back on their own several times. That's what makes the World go around.
Been many times. Haven't been in a few years. You are in for a time. Either love it or hate it. Hope you have a rental car. Hoover dam is a must. I also liked going to a marina on Lake Meade to have a lunch. You could feed fish off the pier. 10 to 20 lb stripers will eat out of your hand , as well as giant carp. Also you could tour the Nascar track. Fun tour. There are a number of casino's with rides in them or around them. One on the strip is called Nascar experience. Fun simulated racing. On the strip not at the track. One called the edge on the Sratosphere. Not for me. too chicken. Takes you over the edge at about 1450 ft. The Belagio has super art in it. Ceaser's is fun to stroll. You can go to the top of the Eifle Tower. You can always gamble or catch a show. Every thing is expensive. Now my 2 favorites. 2.Make dinner reservations at the top of the Stratosphere for around dusk. The rest. takes an hour to revolve and you can see about 15 miles out. I love to watch all the lights come on in the city. 1. Eat at a restaurant 2 blocks behind the Flamingo called Batista's Hole in the Wall. Great little Italian place, with reasonable prices. I always go there when I am in Vegas, baby.
Thought I was back then. LolAttachment 150221
Didn't we all look like that back then?
if i was single i would not worry too much about looking for something to do in vegas.
A wrestler in his younger days, seen a video of him jumping off a house doing an elbow drop one time.
Check out the Bunny Ranch.
You look like that celebrity, Wolfman Jack
Looks like a happy islander to me

I agree. :)
Been accused of the Wolfman Jack deal before. :)
Happy Islander for sure. :)
We went for free when Debbie started dealing in Tunica. Everything cost us nothing, saw the sites, couldn't take my gun, don't want to go back
