Update on; out of commission
My father-in-law gave me a 3 cylinder 40 horse Mercury yesterday, which has the oil injection on it. It has been setting up for about 3 years, ever since he decided not to fish by himself anymore. He has always been a blessing to me and has always treated me like I was his son and not his son-in-law. I could not have asked for a better pa-in-law.
I dropped the motor off at the shop yesterday. The mechanic said the 3 cylinder 40 horse was a better motor than the 2 cylinder 40 horse that I had on my boat. He claims it will run faster and has more power. The shop is supposed to go completely through the motor and put a new water pump in it. The mechanic said he hoped to have it ready before the 14th, which is Valentines Day.
If he does get it ready by then I may buy him flowers instead of my wife. LOL. Just kidding! I don't have a death wish. LOL. It will be bad though if they get it ready on the 14th and I go fishing on the 15th, which is my wife's birthday. Naw, after 35 and 1/2 years, I know better than that too. LOL.
I hope to see some of you on the lake again real soon.
