I could not even get the doors open on my truck. Frozen shut.
got a little ice in LR but it looks like everyone else got worse.
Roads clear and right at freeze'n now with sun out. I just might hook up my boat and go somewhere.
Hopefully someone will post some pics of crappie caught today. If I was off today I would be floating.
Went out this afternoon . Caught about 25 Crappie mostly small. Put about a dozen in livewll along with a couple LM Bass and 5 Whites. Offered them to another guy and he turned them down without looking but looked funny when I dumped them back.
I like there faces when you dump them back in the water when they turn them down
I think my next trip will just be on the water shots of the good ones and let em go. I feel a lil guilty about all the killing at times. and I have enuff fish. I will keep the 9-11 inchers for fresh dinner next trip out the big girls get a free pass my next few trips..
Go every chance you can cause you can't catch em at home
I threw all mine back last weekend... I've still got some left over from last year I haven't eaten yet. Don't get me wrong, I spend every weekend hunting and fishing... But I understand when you say you feel bad about all the killing... I justify it by eating them... But when I'm not eating them faster than I'm killing them there's no sense to it.Quote:
