As soon as I get over my allergy attack, I'd like to go give them a try. I love fishing those canals with all the tops and structure. And like Didi knows it's the most beautiful place to get pictures in those swamps.

have not heard anything......
I got a report from my neck of the woods that the water temp have fallen from 57 a few weeks ago to 46 this week end and no one was catching.

In my neck of the woods, no deep holes here, all canals are 7 foot deep, but slow and on the bottom is where they at.

I caught 5 there on Saturday. Water was cold cold of course. But that not the real problem. The area lost a ton of fish from Isaac and gonna be couple more years before it gets anywhere near normal. As you know I fish there area a lot during all seasons and is been tough since issac. Best day last winter/spring was 30. But most days i/we fished hard for 8-15 fish even under the best of conditions. Is not to say you can't catch a few but good days will be few and far between What fish you catch are all bigger fish as that is what survived the hurricane. I will keep checking some as that's te biggest fish we have in our area. I used to despise the area as a kid but now it's my favorite place to fish the spawn and summer also asin summer you pretty much have the area to yourself. A few folks then but not many. If you go give us a report
As I posted on the the other post it's good to hear of some fish having survived. I agree with you about it being a great place to fish, about the prettiest place I've been. I won't be going soon, neither there of elsewhere unlil I get to feeling better. Sooner or later we will get some decent warming weather and then, fish on.
Thanks for the report.

PPG fished the sherman area Saturday evening only caught one small bass. The few people I talked to said last week before the last cold front they were getting a few. The water was cold 54 in canels and 48 in the lake!!
Thanks BD, that's not what I was hoping to hear but a fact is a fact. We just might have to let the area rest a little more. I do know that if things work out well I will give it a try once the waters warm a little and the weather settles. It's just too nice a place to pass it up just because the fish aren't biting. It's a reward enough just to motor through the area.

I fish this area often.. Had a couple trips where I caught 8 sacs a few weeks ago before it really got cold but since then my last 2 trips have been zero
Mr. Saclait, don't remember if I've welcomed you to the site before, so if not, WELCOME. Also thanks for the report. It's always good the hear the report first hand.

Paw Paw, I hope you get to feeling better real quick. As a matter of fact, I just said a prayer for you and asked the Lord to heal you and restore your strength to you. Even if you can't go fishing it ain't no fun being sick. And, when you got the fishing "bug" you sure don't want to be sick. When you do feel better; go give them what for.
Thanks Pastor, I appreciate the prayers. If only the weather would settle out I might feel better.

Well if you see me on the water please flag me down. I'll be in a red and white Stratus with a 50 Yamma. I have CDC decals on the boat and on the windshield.

Good deal Bruce, and Tony don't make yourself scarce. We love reports and we love pictures, but most of all we love the friendship.
