Even though they sometimes make you work for them, It's sure hard to beat the ole Rez for quality crappie
Dang! Y'all had a big time
Nice box guys!
Very nice!!
Shazaam nice ones. What lake is the Rez ?
That's a nice box of fish guys.
That's what I am talking about! Good job guys.
Great job GDG and Feesh. Those are some pigs. Were they deep?
Scott, most of them were about 17'.

nice uns
Nice ones there
Those are big fish. Wondering why u call it the dink hole.
We're thinking about going down below the spillway Sunday morning. It's gonna crest around 22 and start falling slow to start with. Try that new little boat out up a creek off the river
DD not to mind your business and you can take or leave my advice butttttttt, you better be careful in that little boat, you have gotten used to jumping around in that big boat and you cant do that in that little one, this is the advice of someone who has done it, and yes I fell out of a boat the same size of yours because I was used to a bigger boat, just be careful because that current in the spillway is not forgiving bro. Good luck and let us know how you do.
Where is this Rez? Is that the lake name ?
Before i became civilized i used to fish it from the bank . You just got to be the badest down there . And they let you in . I will be in a boat below the spillway . Like got turned over in the current with father long time ago scareus reall bad .
Oh, I already learned that. Bout fell out the first time I was in in just stepping into it. LOL It'd ONLY be used over in the trees on the Madison side or back up the creek on the Rankin side. NO WAY would I get into any current in that thing
I have got houseites here in Ky thinking about coming down to try to fish on the rez this Friday for a couple of days. Never fished there, would some like to tell me where I need to try to fish above or below the bridge. Is the limit of poles 8 for spider rigging there. Thanks for any info.
no rod limit or size limit. ONly 30 fish limit. I spect the current is gonna be flowing pretty good. Put in at Tommys trading post on and come out the channel markers, then go under the nridsge. Look to the left bout 100 yards up and look for the poles bout 1/4 mile off the main channel. Theres a ridge back there. That's the welfare hold from the channel to those markers. AT TIMES, you can wear them out there. I haven't heard of any good reports there though. Only good reports I have are from up river in some off the river old lakes
That big rain we got changed things drastically. I live in Louisville and a lot of our water hasn't even gotten to the Rez yet. I know someone who tried the welfare hole Saturday and didn't get a bite. It should get better as the water slows and clears just a little.
Thanks for the info, if things go right I am planning to leave here Benton, ky on Thursday and drive down to fish on Fri,Sat,and Sun. looks like the temps are going to be in the 60s there. I am so tired if this snow and ice and below freezing temps. I think alot of the bays on KY and Barkley Lakes are still frozen. If any of you guys come up here to fish this spring maybe I can give you a few tips on Ky lake.
I'll make a few phone calls for ya by the weekend. No one I know has been catching much though cept my brother. Course he lives at Coals Bluff State park ON the river. LOL
Thanks guys I just talked myself into waiting a couple more weeks, since it is supposed to be in the 60s here in about 10 days and I need to get my boat out and give it a good checkup before I start fishing. That lake Washington tournament looks like it will be fun hope that you do real well on it. I would like to come down and fish around those cypress trees.
wait til about the 2nd or 3rd week of march and they should be in there or atleast starting to get in there. Gonna depend on the temps
