One bank will charge both but not very fast.I would disconnect the jumper wire and charge separately. There is no way to equailize with them connected.

I use a 6 amp charger and it charges em up just fine. If one of those battery's is to start your big motor your motor will charge both battery's as well. Best thing I ever done was hook those two batteries up.
Minn Kota says to hook one bank to each battery.
I have my charger hooked to one charging both in a 12 volt system. One leg of charger to trolling batteries and one to cranking battery. ProMariner says one leg to one battery only. Never had a problem keeping both charged. Hooking to one battery in a group tied together as 12 volt they will equalize. Ran 4 batteries as 12 volt in big trucks for 30 years with only one charging leg to one battery off alternator. Any time you check them they will be the same as long as nothing is wrong with any single battery.
Yeah both my batteries read the same voltage. I also run 4 batteries in my truck with 1 alternator.
It will work, but a three bank carger with a leg to each battery does a much better and faster job. You don't have to disconnect the jumper. I leave mine on all the time. I do check the water about four times a year.
there is no need in disconnecting the jumper !!! all you have to do is put the positive lead to positive on battery A and the negative lead to negative on battery B !!! now you are charging both batteries together !!!here is a diagram !!!and it will charge quicker then you think !!!

I agree it will work. But if your charger has the equailize option,it's best to take jumper off.Besides how will you know if one battery is going bad?
charging the batteries this way if one is bad they will not fully charge when they are wire parallel and you hook a charger to + on battery A and - on battery B the charger looks at them as 1 big 12 volt battery ,not 2 so if 1 of them is bad you will never get a full charge !!! when I was using a 12 volt system I use to charge my batteries this way for years !!!and worked great !!!
