18 with a wind chill of 8 for us. Looking at 14 today.
It is 15 here in North Louisiana. I am hoping that this cold snap really hurts the salvinia up on Black Bayou Hosston.
Man don't know what is going on this winter, but this is getting to the point of ridiculous. Is in the low 20's this morning and still a little snow and ice from yesterday again, then next week we have more coming again! I have officially got old enough now to like summer more than winter which I always have in the past loved winter here as I never liked the really hot summers, but all that is changing! I mean 4" of snow here last Friday, that was just crazy!
Play Cold Rain and Snow by the Grateful Dead. It cheers me up.
G that's cold. It's been 72 in my house for the last 48 hours. I have not been out the door.
It got down to 24 here yesterday and it was 30 today when I checked a few minutes ago.
Hard to believe that I stayed there at San Miguel in the same cabin in September when it was 104 degrees outside. I'm like G, not going to say a word when the heat comes.
My son is at the camp in Hosston tonight. He tells me a lot of the salvinia is gone and when you motor thru what is left a lot of that sinks. Hopefully more of it will die. It will be cold again tonight which I hope hurts it more. I also understand that we might get another round of cold in the latter part of next week.
