Just noticed in BPS spring catalog that they list the American Angler Pro model. Dang thing must talk to ya at $149.99.
Not worth it!
My old Mister Twister still does good...I replace the blades every year
With your money I'd think you would get 2:Rofl
Mister twister all the way. I am only 13 and i can fillet just fine with it.
"Pro Model" Iam sure there are some "pros" lined up to get one.
It's probably a good knife. Not sure it's worth that unless u guide redfish and trout for a living.
It's $109.99 at Amazon.com. It's American Angler's newest model. It has twice the torque of their other knives. I've got an older American Angler that I really like with the Shark Blade.
I hate mr twister
I bought one years ago and it lasted thru about 1 good mess of fish and went kaput, bought one last spring cause I couldn't find an American Angler, same thing, it's hanging on a wall down there now looks just like brand new and is stripped, got two of the American Angler with shark blades now and love them.
http://www.thefind.com/buy-64sPIqpVI...c+fillet+knife This is the one I bought, they have a cheaper one at about 25 bucks but it doesn't have the steel gears like this one, when I bought mine it came with the shark blades they are the best blades I have used yet.

$10 at walmart. I like the offset blades.
Was just at BPS. They have the knife with one set of blades for $79.99.
If it want fillet a redfish it's not any good on crappie from the big 4.
I have never seen one last a year.. Tried original mr twister, mr twister piraņa( which is no better than the green and yellow one) American anglers, rapala( which was a complete joke) browning.. I will say the best was the American angler. It lasted a little over a year
I had pretty good luck with one. I'll find out because I have a brand new one for this year to try out. I'm kind of under the impression some might work better than others but not worth all the extra cost. I had one of those mister twister last year and got brand new blades at Bass Pro and it wouldn't cut thru butter even with those new blades.
American Angler is the only way to go. The one for $149 comes with 5 sets of blades, a glove, a towel, and a carrying case. Lot's of stuff you may not use. The one for $79 is a bad boy. Oh yeah...an American Angler will cut a Mr. Twister in half.
Love my old blue American Angler. I promise it has to be 15 years old and still going strong.
I have figured out one basic law of economics in my lifetime, and that is ...."You get what you pay for."
A hard law for a poor man to live by, I might add!
