So you think you can catch'em!
Well my partners and I went back to the scene of the crime (November three day catch of 180 crappie). On the way out of the launching ramp passed by Mickey and said hi....heading down here a ways to catch us 4 limits...when we get on them I'll give you a call.....ok arrogant is unbecoming....Well 45 minutes later....10 breakoffs in the gill nets across our honey hole....and the phone rings.....Mickey says hey...I have 4 in the boat...8 ft deep...18 ft water...........30 minutes later...phone rings....hey just put my 12th in the boat....when are you coming back up here.........30 minutes later I pull up the rods and head back to him....he is landing number 16....
We ease around for a few minutes and he says...them minnows aren't working to well.....ease over here and I'll give you something to tie on...........so we change out 8 lines with Mickey's tackle.....and start catching a fish here or there.....
He finishes his limit.....pulls off to the side and says boys it all yours....enjoy the rest of the day.....
Well we catch 6 more in the next 40 minutes or so....and bam...nothing.
Lessons learned. 1) Park your arrogant attitude at the house. 2) When the phone rings....do what the man tells you to do....he is catching fish you aren't. 3) Again.....cc.com folks will try to help you whenever they can.....if it don't work....look in the mirror for the PROBLEM.
Mickey, thanks for trying....you are a true gentleman.

I always think I'm not as good a fisherman as my buddy, and 99% of the time, I'm Right!!!!!! :-)
I've sat next to Meatgetter and watched him pull em out one after the other, and with the same bait, same depth, same kinda pole, sitting my bait right next to his, and trying to copy what he did, Never Get a Bite!!!!
