I would, but have no idea what your asking about.:dono
A Kentucky style rig with a bottom dropper "weight" or a capps and colemen style rig for trolling / spider rigging
We Fish with everything we got!!! It might be with a weight 12 inches above a hook for a shiner to free swim and a couple of hooks above the weight for extra shiners. Could use the Drop shot with 4 jugs above. Y swivels with short drops. Streight jigs, with or without split shot... Much of it depends on how deep or how thick the cover is the Crappie is holding. The multi jigs help to cover as much of the suspected depth, In open water for suspended fish.... I Ain't much Help Right? :fish
I use bottom dropper. I have used both and it is easier to tie with less tangles. I have a youtube video showing how to tie it. The title of the video is deep trimmed.
I enjoyed meeting u at cypress a few weeks ago

Hey drjay good to hear from you. I'm headed to give LOP a try wed or thurs. have you been yet?
Drjayhow - Nice video, I will have to give it a shot. That is if we ever get any soft water. We are frozen solid here in the Finger Lakes Region of New York.
Here's the link for everyone https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0t2ehYL1Fag
Most informative video...simple and easy to remember...thank you dr jay...dr. of ?
Thanks DrJay I have tried both I have more tangles with the Capps and Colemen type. I watched that crappie masters and saw that they use the capps and colemen the most and wanted to try.
I bought some drag chain to slow me down. Winds are going to be light Wednesday but not sure if that cold front is going to mess them up. I'm going to give it a shot.
Might as well toss this spider rig video in as well. My set up. Haven't posted it in a while. May have some new folks.

really good video, Dr J. I am fairly new to spider rigging and I was using the Capps and Colemen rig, but that drop shot rig looks a lot easier. I've got 4 new rods coming in this week. I'm going to rig them like that. thanks.
I believe Dr. J showed me that video and that's how I do it exclusively now---I asked the same question last year. Although many others, Dr. Jayhow has been particularly helpful to me----the info he gives is always info i USE!
:)
My prefered method is to watch the indicator. Yank, Yank, hook!
Nice info
Thanks for all the kind compliments!! I think I am going to try a new video on hooksets and landing fish without making a mess with all your poles (which I probably will , since I will be filming). Maybe also some tricks I've learned when u do get tangled up, how to get the fish in. We will see if that is worthwhile. I predict sitting in cold wind all day with no bites, just because I was cocky enough to bring a camera!!!

Great video! Will definately give that a try. Thanks!
Bottom dropper is less hassle
