Any word on IT?
I know its time but there might be a problem with ice. Dean went three weeks ago and did great on the crappie in the hole. With me being a plumber were working 7 days a week and I hope to get down there soon. I'll post when I go
Bass guys had a tournament at Bob's yesterday. One boat launched and broke the ice. Everyone else went home, not wanting to scratch the glitter.

I went on Jan 10. Posted here, so you can go back and find it. Brought home some nice crappie, but YP perch were small. I am going back soon. Probably this weekend, if'n I get a chance.

I am planning to go Friday or saturday. May take till saturday for the ice to get off the water if there is any Does it Ice up bad from the island out. I know the whole dang place can ice out but what happens on these partial ice overs there?CF
I may make the trip out bit gonna watch the weather and make sure that the supreme leader will let me make the trip

Dean you really need to get there from the ramp at coinjock. It's about the same distance by water just further by car.
I went Monday of last week, a lot of speckles stacked up. Very few raccoons and the ones I caught were small. Maybe they'll be in soon
I went out today at Cannons ferry. Canal was iced in. Had to go to gatesville. River was muddy looking but the creeks were clean. Good news is the creeks I was fishing were clean of duck weed. Bad news is I didnt get a bite.
Due to the 256832 feet of snow I am going to stay here and fish the big eye tourney at Jordan Lake... May try to go back to IT next weekend
I'm sure IT is froze over. I checked the Yeopim yesterday and it was froze all the way out to the Sound. Pembroke creek was froze and a big portion of Edenton Bay was froze. Gonna wait till Sunday for IT.CF
Yea Ed I was talking to Dean and I know the rivers are iced over and today I was working in Suffolk and Mead was solid across. I may try to go sunday and hope the ice has moved out. When is the next full moon?
Did she thaw out?
I talked with Dean sunday morning and after calling James at n/w I decided to wait till all this ice is gone. Ice will tear up your boat if your not careful.
Looks like Thursday trip to IT for me. Looks like the only day that I'll get weather wise. I am so ready to go. i am like a cat ready to pounce on the first good weather day to head up there. Have postponed the trip twice now.CF

Looks like I'll be hitting it with you on Friday Dean. No minnows anywhere around here. Bait shop getting in a load tomorrow. Dad is going with me and he is not as confident on the jigs. I don't use minnows so no big deal to me. Sounds like Fridays weather will be better anyway. What time are you looking to be there? You putting in at waterlilley?CFQuote:

Thanks for the help on the minnows guys. I was able to get some earlier today. They just came in. Dean, if the fish are there like they have been like in years past, Dad is going to have a ball. He was trying to wimp out on me earlier today because of the sharp air but I told him he was going to have to bundle up for the run and the fish catching would keep him warm after the run. I got you number Dean. Look forward to seeing you tomorrow.CF
