I think it is 3 but couldn't find it officially! I loose jigs fast enough 2 at a time!! LOL
A buddy I fish with uses 3 jigs at lot of the time--don't know if it's legal, but I dont think he would do it if wasnt legal.
I am like Redge, when I use two, I always get hung and it seems like I lose both. Dont even want to think about trying 3 jigs.
I've had it in my mind, 7 rods with no more than 3 hooks per line is max allowed. I do good trying to monitor 2 rods with usually only 1 hook per!! lol
Thanks for the info guys!
It is 7 rods, but I can't find anything on # hooks, unless it is a special regulation lake. I guess as many as you want to lose.:biggrin So if that is correct, you could have a removable trotline affixed to a reel.
aserioushunter, That is what I was told at Lucky Lure (OKC) when the subject came up. We were talking about the Alabama rigs. But read special regulation for lake, some lakes have a three hook rule (trebles = 1)
If you use more than 3, its probably going to turn into a trot line.
It is 7 rods but not sure if there is a limit on the # of jigs. The bass fishermen throw those umbrella rigs. I have seen them with as many as 5 soft baits.
Not so hilarious Youngblood, you see em all the time in the standing timber. A rope between two trees with yo yo's everywhere. Looks like a crappie trotline to me??
Oh yeah that sucks but seein someone with 5 or six hooks on a line is jus wrong I would think.
I cant resist this one!:biggrin Fishing with 7-8 rods and 2 hooks per rod is called Spider rigging by most. That is what I call trotlining!!:yikes Right EB:Rofl
Odie
Yupper Odie, spider rigging it is
Vertical trotlining.
Whatever it takes just sayin....Ranger
