It doesn't matter what or how I do it, my flash always ends up on one side of my jig! It just won't stay in place. I'm so frustrated I'm about to give up using it and trade it for something I can use. HELP!

Can you post a pic?? Some jigs I want it to be some on each side, others I don't. Little more info will help
What kind of flash are you using? It is best to have it on both sides or if I was going to have it only on one side I think I would want it on the bottom when fished. Also I use Flashabou and I put each piece on separate. I do mean I tie in each piece all the way before I move to the next piece.
I trying to figure out posting pics Fatman. Techno challenged is an understatement! Here's a little more detail. I'll cut off the amount of flash I want to use, square up the end that will attach to the shank. And start my thread wrap, just like if I was putting my bou on. I'll do a single wrap, check that the flash is in the position I want it to be and start the thread return back towards the head. When I get there, without fail it will always be on the side of the jig facing me. I cannot feel it rotating while threading.
I only use 2 pieces, one on each side mostly.
Based on what you said before you tie it in put a wrap of thread around it then pull it down into place, hold it there then put some more wraps to anchor it.
Good sound advise from to expert tiers. Thanks fellas. Will try it tonight when I get home
Take one long piece, split it forwardly around your thread while pinching it equally, hold it while pulling your bobbin up and split your shank with the two sides whil wrapping back.
Sounds like it may be 2 things. I suspect your marabou is spinning. I tie a big starting thread wrap then I use super glue to anchor the thread down then I tie in the bou and glue it down. These waxed threads are slick. I also tie in flash like I do deer hair. 2 loose wraps and then start putting more pressure on the thread as I go.
I thought that too Buddy, but my bou stays in place. Now, I have been tying my bou on first before my flash. Should I reverse the materials?
No tie in Bou first! I don't double mine like he does. I know the way I do it is slower, but I like the way it comes out better. It is faster to double it, but I don't care about that as much. I tie in separate pieces.
At this point I'll give it all a try! Thanks again guys
