Fishing partner/teacher needed Part deaux

After quite a few years fishing out of a kayak, a bad back forces me to switch to a boat. I just picked up my new (to me) boat. Pictures attached. I will have it registered later this week. My bride insists that I not fish alone. I am semi retired and have time during the week to fish. I am looking for someone to fish with who also has time during the week. I don't know much about crappie, but have them on my target list. I live in pasadena, but have always traveled to fish. Get in touch and let's make plans to wet a line.

It is easier to find a good wife than a good fishing partner/buddy.

That boat will be perfect for the rivers and the bay during calmer winds. First thing I would do is put a trolling motor on it, especially if you are planning to crappie fish up here.

I will be semi-retired over the next year also. I have a regular partner on Wednesday's but as the weather warms a bit get with me. I'm on the northern side of the tunnel. I was actually out yesterday but my best area (for this time of year) was frozen over. The result was a bunch of small perch and just 1 tiny crappie.

I am picking up a trolling motor later today. It will be a few weeks before I get everything registered and set up. Hopefully, the ice will be melted by then.

Make sure you get it registered within 30 days of the date the title gets signed, or the Bill of Sale or Md will charge you a penalty

I did get the boat registered. I need to get the trailer inspected, but I can use it since I still have the original tag. Let's go fishing!!!!

I finally got the boat pretty much finished. The trolling motor and depth finder are both installed and working. Rod holders are in place. The trailer is inspected and now has tags. It is funny that I would not work on the boat in the cold but do not have any problem at all fishing in the bad weather. I am still looking for people to go out and wet a line.
