Fished from 8-3 it was slow but caught some real slabs, patience paid off. Caught 19 in all. Big fish was 13". Caught em between 9 and 14 ft deep about half around bigeaux pilings and half in fordoche. Only had to throw one back. The weather was absolutely perfect from about 11-2...

Can u tell us the general area in fordoche u were fishing? Were they deep in fordoche also?
The water is dirty but is getting better especially in fordoche, the current was getting pretty strong in the bayou as well. I can't give away all my secrets, but in fordoche they were really deep in brush. I only know there was brush down there from hanging up in it. They were 12 ft and deeper...
Went today, ran into PS, apparently i found the spot!LOL I plan on going tomorrow and looking for more similar spots, deep water, brush, current. I ended up with 10 quality fish and had a great visit with Prefers Shiners.
