Great information. Thanks for posting.
need to keep informed
We can't do any of that stuff here in New York waters.
On the Texas side of Caddo Lake the use of Yo-yo's is illegal period.
Interesting info. I've heard of people Using yo-yo's for catfish but for crappie is something I've never heard of. I'm going to have to take a look at the oklahoma regulations and ask around the state board to see if anybody does this around my neck of the woods
Its not the Gun!!! Its the person pulling the trigger!! Its not the yo-yo's its the person using the yo-yo's!!! Take away the equipment to fish with whats next!! Close our boat ramps that will stop fishing!!! will not happen(close ramps) it did and will be done again!!
I don't like yo-yos but the reg sounds fair
good info good reg!
I fish for fun, I'll stick to a fishing pole.
Interesting. Never heard of yo-yoing for crappies.
i remember buying a box awhile back and never got to use them alot of lakes don't allow the use of them, varies from lake to lake. used them when i was little at farm ponds caught bass and gills with them
For those of you who say they have never heard of yoyo's for crappie, it works. I have a camp on Darbonne. I can remember putting out yoyo's when I was barely old enough to climb in a boat. Around the spawn you can hang them in the cypress trees with your minnow just above the roots. Usually set them just before dark and run several times during night. I agree with new regs. Its sad to say but some folks never take them up. Also, since most of the timber in the lake has fallen, they stick these ugly T-posts upeverywhere to hang yoyo's on and never take them up.
Thanks for the info!
Hmmm interesting post.
First time I ever heard of Yo-Yo fishing. Now, I have heard of "a Yo-Yo" fishing. Maybe even seen one or two...
Good stuff to know!
I think YO-YO was to play with not fish with . Good stuff
I wish our regulations were tougher on yoyos , even more so on AGFC lakes where so many sport fish with hand held poles for sport. Not all but many use them just to fill their freezers.
