Anybody been on any of the Big 4 lately?
Fished sardis Sunday. Was slow but they bit every now and then
yep--lower won't be good until it gets cold for a couple of weeks straight.
The water temp is colder now than it ever got last year.

hmmm--sweet. the upper was upper 30's and got to 40 by the end of the day--was the first part (had to check my notes) feb when I hit the lower last year--might try sooner this year?
Not to hijack this thread but will either of you elaborate on why the lower lake needs to have colder water for a period of time to be considered a good time to fish it? Thanks!
Colder water equal less energy from fish, less energy from fish equal fish not fighting the current, fish not fighting the current equal fish going thru the spillway, fish going thru the spillway equal fish in the lower lake, and fish in the lower lake equal fishing considered good.

You know..... I wish I liked the way those things tasted, cause I sure did enjoy hunting them when I was a young man and just wanted to kill everything!
that's a lot of plucking Feelay... Great job!
Ducks good. Grilled fried baked put it in gumbo.
I like steak, and I like duck gumbo (but I swear to you, guinea fowl is better), but I guess I ate so much of it when I was younger that I got tired of it. I grew up on a farm in the middle of the delta with about 500 acres of hardwood/cypress swamp on it. We duck hunted every day we could, and ate a bunch of them.
Nice Mess of Ducks.
