I don't see why not. I used to have a 17.5 triton crappie, and mounted side by side seats in it.
I'm thinking I'd like to try it. So when pops is with me I can have him up front with me instead of being in the back.
I installed two on my old boat. It was a G3 1860sc. Very similar design.
You could use a Dub-L-Seat rig that Blacklandlure on here makes and sells. I have one and love it. That way you won't have to modify your boat.
i have a 1652 G3 got two bases up front i used rivet nuts to mount them
What's the beam. Might be kind of close sitting to each other
Plenty of room, mine is 64 across if I remember correctly, one of the draw backs to glass.
I have 6 bases up front on my 18' polarkraft.
My SeaArk is 84 inches wide up front where my two seat bases are...plenty wide lots of room.
I installed 2 on my g3 1754 just like yours. Had more room than my current Basscat because the g3 narrows slower. Go for it.
Wannabe...
The cheapest and best route in my opinion. I found Grizzly to be the cheapest
Here is where I got mine. Good product and great price. My only advice is,,,,, be sure u have enough bracing under where u gonna mount them and try to place them where u won't be cutting any existing bracing.. To get them to fit flat, u gonna need to cut a large hole, like 2 1/2 inch for the center to recess into the floor... I forget the exact size, but u can measure it..

21/4-21/2" hole is right. If there aren't any supports under the deck to mount your bases to, you might consider using a doubler plate under the bases. We use a 16x16" 3/16 aluminum plate for this. It keeps the screws in, and doesn't let the deck flex with your weight on it.
I use these. Call or PM me if you want to try one. Attachment 147879
Try before you buy. If ya don't like it, just bring it back. IMO, they are more stable and versatile than a pedestal. That's why I don't use pedestals in the available bases I have.
Bill your right they are stable but expensive and you always have to spin to the outside.Makes me nervous with kids.
Bill, how much does that setup cost?
I personally like to be able to move up and move back if I need to without disturbing your fishing partners seat. I have the EZ pole perch system I believe. Its a very well made product and you will not have to drill additional holes.
I will say this.. DONT buy the Cumberland crappie one it's aluminum and it will NOT last a year before it breaks. I bought one because I liked the idea of being able to turn Into the inside and not having a bar up high.. Bad mistake. Now I will say I contacted them and they offered to repair it if I sent it to them... But heck it would cost an arm and a leg to ship it so.. I just chalked it up as a lesson learned.
I've got a 1650 Express and 2 seats fit on the front of it!
Big Smooth, PM sent.
On the other hand, I have one that is over two years old, and I have not broken it yet... Just saying. I had an uncle who bought a brand new Chevy Silverado once, ended up getting it declared a "lemon" and got his money back. That didn't mean all Chevys were trash. He still drives Chevys today.
