Yep. Friend of son in law. Was in one of my shooting houses. Hand was back on the stock or he would have lost a finger or two. Blew up outside the plastic house so no injuries. It's why we shoot all metal bullets instead of lead in anything bigger than a 270. Browning and Remington both say this isn't uncommon. Scary

I had a shotgun do that while duck hunting one time when I was a kid. It was a cheapo Revelation bolt action gun that I got from Western Auto back in the day!!! All I could afford back then. It took a lot of lawn mowing for 5 bucks a yard to get it!!! :-)
That's the second one of those I've seen this season. Bad deal.
Factory loads. You have to put 2 out of 3 shots in a 6in circle at 150 yards before I let you go in my woods. Shot it then put it back in case and went to stand. Just happens some times
If you are going to buy a magnum anything, make sure it's at least a semi-bull. Sendero's are even better

I'm priming 1,000 rounds of 223 brass. They will be loaded with 18.2 gr. WC846 with a 55 gr. cast bullet. I cast a coffee can full of bullets last week. Sized and gas checked them another day while waiting for my order of primers to be delivered.
