Get you some Ezra Brooks and you will throw that Jack away...........haven't had a drink in over 15 years but I still remember
Don't care much for Beam anyway. Makers or Black Jack, either over a little ice.
1800 to kill u for me with lemons and salt!
Lately I've developed a taste for Wild Turkey American Honey and John Grisham books. (I've read all of Tom Clancy's)
Not much into whisky. Back in college that was the go too drink--way back when. I did buy some of that Crown Royal Maple 6 months or so ago and was a waste of money for me. Check out the Jack Reacher novels by Lee Childs. Some good reading. If you ever get to Nashville, there is a used book store called McKay's used books. You can get books dirt cheap. Huge selection.
Can't get my choice of straight bourbon any more, 10 yr old charter. So on the quest for a replacement I found Benchmark. At 9.00 a fifth it is incredibly smooth over ice. Try it !Attachment 147820
all this talk about book reading has driven me to drink, copper run whiskey good stuff
Make my own.
Being from Kentucky and a Bourbon lover I have to say that Woodford Reserve is the only bourbon I will buy, if there is any better I pray I never find it.
I tend to drink more wheat dominated mash in the summer (say Buffalo Trace) while drinking more ryes in the winter. Both neat. When mixing (say perfect manhatten), I like the better lower price stuff. :twocents:twocents
Neat chart showing various brands and their relatedness.

I usually like Makers, but I bought a bottle of Forty Creek a while back and was very pleased with the taste. Not sayin it was as good as Makers but it was good and a good bit less expensive also.
Tennessee Whisky Jack Daniels.........problem solved.
