Rees I think it's the Crappie Commander. I'll have to hunt it up in the catalog. No not on the web site. From a couple of things I've read it's supposed to be a pretty good rod.
Woult like to know if when its broke down does the tip stick out past the handle or not. Don't understand rod makers letting the tip go past the handle when folded and line reeled title, just asking for a broke tip.
They have a private label brand as well that Lew had built to his specs. I want to try one.

Best thing to do is just get on the phone in the morning and ask them.
I have several of the Firecast poles. I'm watching 6 of them right now. They have them in Philidelphia at Jerome Tanks. The 14s are 2 piece.

John I think both pieces are the same length. The 14s are less than $30. I use the 12s at Okatibbee.
But how do they match up when folded and the line reeled tite Scott? PST 12s the tip sticks out past the butt by 6 inches or so, I don't want that.
I think the tip would be even with the butt. Like I said, they're the same length. I'll double check when I get home. I like them better than the PSTs. They don't break like the PSTs.
Rees, you must have some crazy arse PST's if on your 12 fts there is 6 inches of difference when folded up. Both ends of mine match up perfectly.Attachment 147666Attachment 147667
Btw, dont reel em up so tight and they will match up. Thats yo problem.
Put some line non then pole and reel the line tite and you will see what I am talking about, stow my rods lined and ready to go.
Not reeled tite leads to more tangles, piss poor design
Don't reel them tite....then put them in a rod sock....they won't get tangled that way. I have a rod sock for each one of my poles
Rod sock is a good idea g
works for me John and it makes it so much easier to get the rods out of the rod locker because they are not hanging up on each other....they just slide out.
Eggxactly, piss poor design. Specially in the back of a truck in the spring time.
Here is how I do mine. A simple bread tie will also work.Attachment 147671Attachment 147672
To do what you want John they would have to mount a rod guide right on the ferrule where the rod breaks down.....don't think you will see that on any manufacturer
Lot of manufactures have rod that break down a lot better than that, got one PST left and it will soon be gone. Not sure I have seen anyone but BnM do this, especially on two piece rods.
I am not slamming the BNMs, didnt start the thread to do that just looking for options.
all mine do like that...I have all brands, BnM several models, Ozarks, Mr. Crappie, Hi Tech's....you name it
Crappie commander I believe is what they are
Well I got Ozarks that don't
Attachment 147675
Pinnacles that don't
Attachment 147676
BGJPs that don't in 16 footer and 11 footer but the 8 footer did.

Pic is of the 16 footer
Those look like Donnies Ozarks lol
That ones mine I think. :biggrin
Since it's such a big problem just send all them mismatched poles to me. I dont have a problem fish with janky equipment:Rofl
I never knew that just by adding a reel and some line that it made my rod 6 inches longer. If id only known that long ago
Haha
Crappie commander, kind of in between a bgjp and a pst, both sections are the same length, nice rod just expensive to ship. It appears scottV has the glass firecast, we sell those too, around $25, may be under the panfish special label, same rod though.
Look up "Fishing Butlers". They'll hold your rods much better, and are easy to use. Best little rod holders I've found when breaking them down.

I just use the braided Pony Tail holders like women use, they are just like a rubber band but the sun and heat dont bother them. and they are cheap
