Weather looking promising Sunday, anyone know if LOZ is frozen over?
I got pictures from a couple of days ago from the Big Niangua area and its pretty much frozen over. As it melts, it might be a bit treacherous this weekend. But, it looks like temps will stay above freezing through all of next week, so I'd imagine, next weekend would be fine.
don't know where ya fishin but froze up around 46 mm
Ditto around the 61mm. All ice.
i fished off docks around the 17 mm. just a little ice in back of coves. 5 keepers today in about 20 mins
I'm down here now. And the little niangua arm is ice over pretty good. No fishing for me I guess. :(
Coffman Beach area, how is it?
The ice is mostly gone were I'm at. Just the coves have ice in then now. The wind is ripping the ice apart and allowing it to melt.
I'll be fishing tomorrow .
that's what I wanted to hear ks
Jigg's I'm at LOZ.
Does anyone have any ideas on fishing right now. I made it out this afternoon and Struck out cold!
I was wondering what area of LOZ. Looks like Truman will be a no go again for tomorrow even at the lower end.
Most of the main water is open. There is still coves and swallower parts of the lake that still have ice on them.
I fished the 3-6mm today and only had 9 but they were good ones. Caught them all in 18 fow 12ft down over brush. Blue Ice Bobby Garland with a nibble. Had to hold it dead still before they would just suck it in. VERY VERY LIGHT bite.
Maybe they will pickup tomorrow with alittle more sunshine
Dang I may have to find my way down to LOZ Monday and try to explore around a little.
I was at the Lake yesterday at quite a few areas including Niangua Arm and saw no ice; not even in coves.
Coffman was wide open last Sunday (1/12). Started seeing ice in the main part of the Gravois just south of Indian Creek. All of Indian Creek was frozen, Bogue Bay was half frozen, and the backs of any coves south of that. We were off of the water about noon, but I would imagine with the STIFF south wind last Sunday that most of Indian Creek has opened up since. Anything south of Coffman to the main lake was wide open.
