We were gonna get rid of OC...... In comes Kiffen nuther NC on the way.
Do you mean crazy lane ? bwahahahahahahah
I hope our outgoing coordinator does not sit out Michigan's best players and cost them a few wins like he did us.
Handi he's getting paid more and I think he'll get a shot at a head coach job. He just did not seem to play to win , I felt like he was coaching not to lose. IMHO
God help us if its Kiffin !
Funny how everyone was laughing at him and saying what a joke he is for the last few years and now he is coming to alabama and he is the greatest offensive mind ever. Gotta love them crimson colored glasses.
We gotta score more with the offensive minds in the sec now. If you can't stop them gotta out score them.
Here we go , kiffens a bammer now. Joe better watch out we gonna hang 40 on you next year.
I understand u dont like him but lets be rational. As OC Bama lost 1 game his first year and went on to win the National Championship. In year 2 the special teams (4 missed field goals and a 108 yard td return)Attachment 147464 totally blew the Auburn game in which the team gained over 500 yards for 1 loss then his offense rolled up 495 yards (4 turnovers) in a loss to Oklahoma but you let em put up 45 on yall. Kiffen will do good at Bama because Bama is good but yall are hiring the same guy in this article here, lol. And Kiffen WAS in charge of the offense there.
I guarantee if another sec hired him you guys would be laughing and talking about what a joke he is PERIOD! Don't get me wrong I hope they do well, just cracks me up!
Dang Handi , facts don't look too good. Mite regret this hire. Sometimes coaches do better as coordinater s than they do head coaches. Proof is in the pudding. We will find out next year for sure. Think about Shula , chezsic, muschamp. They all are pretty good co ordinaters but struggled at times as head coaches. Time will tell......RTR !!!
This is the Kiffen I hope we see
Kiffin was part of two national championships as a USC assistant under Pete Carroll. He ran the offense from 2005-06 and was passing game coordinator the previous year, when quarterback Matt Leinart won the Heisman.
The Trojans averaged 49.1 points and 579.8 total yards per game when Kiffin was offensive coordinator.
I think Saban hired him more from a recruiting standpoint. Most Tennessee fans were mad because he came there and started turning the recruiting around and then left. He did them wrong and they were hurt because of that and because the fact that they knew their team would take another fall. The whole country was mad at him for the way he did. However this does not change the fact that he is a good recruiter just because he jumped ship on Tennessee and failed to perform as a head coach. As an Alabama fan I am scared of this hire, but I am also in a way excited to see what he might bring to our offense. He was the man in charge of all that talent that was so god at USC when he was OC there. We might regret this hire later on, but then again everyone else might regret it and hate Bama even more. If we are winning there will be haters regardless, so it is what it is.
Considering Bama has finished 1st in recruiting in 2011, 12 and 13 according to rivals I would be highly suprised he hired him cause yall needed recruiting help but you never know. Bama, you proved my point by pointing out Kiffens stats when Carroll was coach. I said he will do well at Bama cause you boys have the best talent in the country just like USC did when Kiffen was an assistant there. Kiffen is a gewber but he is yalls gewber now.
Baw ha ha ha .... Handi I gots a feeling you ain't gonna let us live this down , if it turns out to be a bad hire. At least he's bringing some eye candy with him.
Attachment 147530 Here ya go handi, who needs football.
Kiffen toatally DESTROYED two programs. tennessee still hasn't recovered. Before this hire I always thought he was the biggest idiot in college football. Now it's a toss up. bammer beat the crap outa everbody this season til the last two games. last two games bammer defense gets gashed, so bammer fires OFFENSIVE coordinator, then bammer hires crazy lane. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, no longer toss up, little nickie biggest idiot in college football.
or is Joe forgettin what powerhouse offenses Tennessee and USC had ??????????????????? Will crazy lane be the coach in waitin at bammer ???
Oh I fergot any bammer that likes this hire is a gewber.
Any bammer that don't like this hire is STILL a gewber
Vol fans are excited about the hire, the Kippen curse :witchingwill soon infect the Crimson Tide.:bash Who is his agent I need a Job in Hollywood.:kewl:kewl
Joe you say Kiffin destroyed two programs. I take it you are only focussing on what he did as a head coach for part of it. Let me add something to your question right here. " is Joe forgettin what powerhouse offenses Tennessee and USC had ???????????????????" Well here you go Joe. "The last time Kiffin was able to exclusively focus on offensive play-calling and quarterback development, Saban was still in the NFL.
It was 2006, his second and final season as USC's co-offensive coordinator alongside Steve Sarkisian before landing the head coach position with the Oakland Raiders. John David Booty was his quarterback. The Trojans ultimately led the Pac-10 in passing offense (263.85 yards per game) and boasted two receivers (Steve Smith and Dwayne Jarrett) who cleared 1,000 receiving yards.
With bigger names, the numbers were even bigger in 2005.
Matt Leinart threw for 3,815 yards, Heisman trophy winner Reggie Bush ran for 1,740 and Jarrett and Smith combined for more than 2,000 in an offense that averaged more than 49 points per game. Leinart won the Heisman one year earlier when Kiffin was the passing game coordinator beneath the renowned Norm Chow.
Maximizing production from his top playmakers remained a trademark of Kiffin's offenses even when he moved into his head coaching roles.
One year before his arrival at Tennessee, the Vols ranked 88th in the nation in rushing offense, 107th in passing offense and 115th in total offense. With the same quarterback (Jonathan Crompton) and an emerging running back (Montario Hardesty), the Vols moved up 34 spots in rushing, 61 in passing and 55 in total." That was in a very short period of time. As an offensive coordinator he has seemed to prove himself worthy. I am not saying it is a great hire, but who am I to question whether it is the right hire.
They moved up 55 spots ?? well that made them 60th. Didn't USC get in trouble for violations when kiffen was there ??
Didn't tennessee get in trouble while kiffen was there ?? Hey more power to bammer for hirin him. Joe will always think he is a dumb ars. fraid most bammers will too shortly. Joe also dont think the OC at bammer calls most of the shots, little nickie does. Anybody think little nickie would let OC keep players out of a game unless he agreed with it ? Joe hopes kiffen is coach in waitin......................... naw not really, dont wish him on anybody. Takes alot for Joe to say that
This the ONLY thing kiffen got goin for him

That's high rent joe. You'll have to sell boat to keep her up. Lmbo
Don't want one of them at my age, the benefits and cost don't weigh out. To much sugar for the dime.....
