Anyone know anything about Horseshor Lake between Clarksdale and Tunica? How Big? Can you spiderrig? Is the landing concrete?
You mean Moon Lake? If so, it has several concrete ramps open to the publicl
I found it on a topo map. It's close to Friars Point.
That is Moon Lake not horseshoe. Horseshoe is in Arkansas!
The lake I'm looking at is in MS and AR. It's on the East Side of the MS River. At least this is according to the Topo maps, you guys may know something different.
I think its in Arkansas.....not sure tho
The Horseshoe Lake I'm talking about is south of Moon lake and it's on the East Side of the MS river. The lake is split in MS and AR. Just wondering if anyone ever fished it.
That sounds like Desoto Lake.
It is Horseshoe lake. Coordinates are 34.312957,-90.676789 according on Google maps. State line runs down the center of the lake. There is a concrete ramp and parking area at 34.311916,-90.669523. Use googlemaps, learn to love the satellite view!!!
Sounds like OLD RIVER at Stovall,Ms. It is behind the levee and just to the south of Friars Point. Dont care what the map says it is OLD RIVER.

Sat that is the map I looked at. Sorry I thought you said it was Moon Lake, not the Old River. Sat Wrote: That is Moon Lake not horseshoe. Horseshoe is in Arkansas! Just kidding! Man do I know how to fire up a Geezer. Just kidding again. Thanks IWF for helping out an old country boy like me.
The question remains has anyone crappie fished it?
Ummm...nope.
That place has crappie in it but it is silting in bad. Deepest water is 8-10 ft at the deepest points. Great for bream though.
Sat. fishes it all the time and catches thousands of crappie from there, but you peed him off so dont expect any info.
That's funny if WB can't pee him off I don't know that anyone can.
