We had 12 teams fish the Wister Tournament. Out of the 12 teams 9 teams weighed fish. We would also like to thanks the employees and Lake Rangers at Wister Lake State Park for their help and the great Cabins we stayed in. They were very grateful and it showed all during our stay. We had BEAUTIFUL DAY for this one. Cool in the morning with slightly overcast skys making was for bright sun and blue skys.The good thing the fish were biting with everyone catching crappie. We ended up with 9 teams signing up to fish Tenkiller and with the total team being lower than we had thought it was a great time. With Youth Deer season weekend and rain the day before with cold temps forecasted we believe might have put a damper on this Tournament.

We fished a very cold and windy Tournament on Ft Gibson in very tough conditions. Not only with cold temps and winds up to and approaching 25mph, but also a cold front moving over the area as well with mist involved. Was very hard to keep your hands warm enough. We had 9 teams show up to fish this one and we had a great time meeting and chewing the fat at Braums with a warm BREAKFAST before starting.
Out of the 9 teams we had only 2 teams weigh fish.

Had our Keystone tournament today and before I post results I want to say a BIG Thank You to Woodys Bait and Tackle for allowing us to register and weigh in at their establishment. If your ever in the area, I encourage you to stop in. They have a little of everything including Slab Bandits by Crazy Angler, a huge selection of Bobby Garland baits and Huckabee Rods. Also want to say Thank You to Woodworker42. Great job on taking care of all the details for this tournament.

As for the tournament, we had 5 teams enter today with only two teams weighing fish. It was a horrible day on the water. First place and Big Fish went to Robert Robinson and his partner Mike Emmit with a total weight of 3.03 pounds and Big Fish at .92. we only paid one place today but the team to come in second was Josh Rutlegde and partner Jeff Fry. Total weigh was 1.53 pounds with Big Fish at .42 pounds.

Before I post the results, I would like to say a big Thank You to some people. First off, I want to say thanks to John at the One Stop in Kaw City for hosting this tournament. We all appreciate you allowing us to register and weigh in there. I also want to say Thank You to Ozark Rods for their donation of two 10' Heavy Jigging Rods, Slab Slobber for donating two bottles of Slab Slobber, Bubba Blade for donating the 9" Flex Knife, Bobs Jigs and LiteWire Hooks. Guys if you need a rod, jigs, hooks or some amazing attractant, please give these guys a look. I promise you wont be disappointed with their products.

Now, for the tournament...we had 18 teams register today and 11 of them weighed in fish. It was an extremely windy day and it was tough to locate and stay on fish but once you did, you caught fish all day long. I heard several boats that caught well over 200 fish today and we were one of those boats, the fish were HUNGRY today!

It was a nice warm sunny day for a tournament .The fish didn't show up for every one but it was a good day on the water.

Team bricklyr had 1st with 4.53lbs and big fish @ 1.30lbs
Team Redge & oildrainer had 2nd with 2.98lbs

the rest of us had a big goose egg.
I have always said this ,"no matter had bad the fishing is. some one will find them"

Patience, patience, patience. It is a 3 hour drive from Wister, I got home a little after 9 and went to bed. Up early this morning to church then lunch. Yes we had 13 teams fish and everyone caught fish, even with high water. We had a Large crowd for the weigh in.

Yesterday we fished Lake Eufaula Crappie.Com Tournament. We had 22 teams come out to fish. Teams as far away as Missouri. Good to see Kevin and Charlie Rodgers. I can say we paid 5 places yesterday along with 2 big fish places as well. There were many pictures taken and as soon as they are mailed to me I will post them as well. I do not have the official weigh sheets for weights and again as soon as they are sent I will be posting.

Ranger Nd Senior Jigger fished the coal creek area. We pre fished Rock Creek-Crowder the day before but didn't find what we thought were tournament quality fish. So with that said we were spider rigging jigs and soft plastics tipped with minnows. Seemed the color combo of dark grey/pearl and blue/pearl were the best colors by far. By doing this it created a bigger profile bait in 2" visibility water. We caught most of our fish in 3' to 7' DOW and from12" to 4' deep....Ranger

Mike and Bob Willis won and had over 11lbs. Like I said I don't have to official weigh in sheet and as soon as it's available it will be posted.....hard day fishing and a late night for most, then Sunday being family day for most plus church makes posting results come in second but just by a slight margin. Fat fingered the button on my phone. Continued from above... stayed just off the break line and near some under water timber. Used mostly blue/white, blue/chartruse, and white/chartuse. Fished 8-10 feet deep in mostly 15-20 feet of water.

We had a good tournament on a very windy day. We had 8 teams fish and all 8 weighed. I think several people pre fished and found the fishing tough, so they decided not to fish the tournament. I only caught 1 fish on Thursday but knew it had to get better with the warm weather. We had several new teams fish this tournament and several of our regulars. Lots of nice fish weighed in. Thanks to Winganon Bait for hosting the check in and weigh in.

Team McClish fished laydowns in the Sallisaw creek area using Crappie Pro 3" Wasshoppa pearl/chartreuse with tail light blade head. Prefished friday chasing the shallow bite with unsatisfactory results we had decided to back out into deeper water looking for larger females, we found our fish in 12-14 fow pitching the laydowns with the bite happening anywhere from 5-10 fow, our biggest 7 was caught before 9:30 after that the fish had gotten smaller. Would also like to say thanks to the Corner Mart for their participation and hospitality and to the hard working staff of Crappie Pro, our go to bait since 1999.....next stop 2014 Classic........once again thanks to all........Team McClish

We fished our Classic Tournament today on Beautiful Lake Tenkiller. We had 12 teams qualify to fish with 9 weighing fish. Out of the 9 teams 7 weighed a limit of 7 crappie and 2 teams weighing 5 crappie. Afterwards we had our fish fry and annual meeting. We discussed the upcoming trail and lakes that we might fish along with a few rule changes as well. Stay tuned for further details in the next few weeks. Everyone walked away with some baits from our sponsors including bottles of scent from Fle Fly.

I would like for the 3 top finishers to post their techniques and area such as upper, mid, or lower end of lake fished....baits and DOW targeted..Thanks Ranger

I will start off by saying we fished woodpiles and standing timber..Woodpiles targeted were spawning piles early in water depths of 14' to 18'. Not finding what we were expecting on the upper end we moved to standing timber along the channels in 30' to 55' with the tops of the timber only being 10' to 20' deep. We then moved to mid lake fishing piles down one side and up the other. We struggled all day until the last 30 minutes of the legal tournament time. We caught a LW full of crappie but never really finding the fish needed to compete. I had been catching many large crappie over the past few weeks but was unable to prefish due to Dr Appts my Dad had in the City. Baits I fished were Crazy Angler in Salt/Pepper and Black Shad colors along with a GoGo Minnow in Pearl. The technique was Cast n Drag over the piles using 6lb BoneHead line, BoneHead 7' Rods and 1/16oz jigs. Charlie was using Falcon Rods, 6lb Vicious LIne, and at times a Bobby Garland Slab Slayer in different colors. We also did a little vertical with an 1/8oz jig over trees. Had a Great Time and was good to sit and visit afterwards as well........Congrats to Brian and Robert, also Don and Donald for 1st and 2nd place finishes..Well Done Guys....Ranger

As for team McClish with friday being only the third time fishing the lake we spent most of the day idling and marking waypoints then going back through and spot fishing. As of tourney day we fished the Cherokee landing area to the upper end targeting laydowns and brushpiles in 8-15 fow near channel edges and we hit each pile multiple times throughout the day only spending about 15 minutes at each catching only smaller fish assuming at some point the larger would move in (praying for sun). It was from about 1pm on when we started picking up better fish, using a multitude of BG's and Crappie Pro with a 1/8 oz. Mo Glo head with the largest of fish coming off of a CP swim minnow in the smoke color. 2014 Crappie Pro Challenge

We had 15 team enter and 9 teams weigh in, Gaston Hall and Ronnie McGown were 1st place with 7.86 fishing crappie pro Jigheads in Gaines creek 2-4 ft in 5-6 fow. 2nd was Brian Young and Doug Owens with 7.39 fishing brush piles in the Triangle area in 10-18 ft with bobby garland minnow mindrs, slab slayers, and wasshoppas. 3rd place team was Jearmy Fisher and Micheal Johnson 7.33 fishing Railroad Cove and Mulhuldy Creek. Big fish of the tournament was caught by Dennis Keiner at 1.80 caught on a bobby garland slab slayer. Biggest fish caught on a wasshoppa went to Dustin Shook at 1.55 on a wasshoppa with a crappie pro jig head. Gaston Hall and Ronnie McGown won tourn on Crappie pro Jigheads so they won the 50$ gift!

The fog was bad for the start and it was decided to add another 30 minutes for the tournament. Then those little white bugs that covered us and our gear up was bad as well. It was neat to watch the catfish skim the water eating them things.

I cannot tell a lie brandon caught the big fish but he had a heck of a net guy. Thanks Tim for sponsoring the tourn and to all the teams that sowed up. Me and Brandon caught all our fish double dipping TT jig heads tipped with 3" orange chartreuse slab slayers. I need a little feed back on what you guys think about a 6 month team trail on Wister then a classic at the end. I will wait on y'all's responses. WSD
