Who makes the biggest metal crappie rig out there? Does anybody make a 20 footer?
Check with bill at big river marine. He's got 20' express
I've got a 2070 Crestliner that I Crappie fish out of. I think it's 20'6" with a 96" beam.
I think xpress and wareagle both make a 21'.
Also Lowe makes a 22ft. bay style cc along with xpress and G3 makes 20 bay.
Express 21' x 108"
I have a 2072cc alumicraft I fish from it is a big empty boat
My neighbor just bought a 21" foot express, 108" across the bottom with a 115 tiller handle, biggest boat I've ever seen
Just how big a boat are ya any how?
Sea ark has models up to 24' with 96" floors. Think alweld and some others do as well.
Truth be told, take a 2072 and set it next to a 21' ranger or whatever and you will see real quick that an aluminum boat has many, many more square inches of floor space given the same length and beam. But once you get to 20', your really not gaining anything other than shear length

Thought moma wanted a glass boat??
Momma wants glass..... Pocketbook thinks maybe more bang for your buck with aluminum. $40 or $50 K for glass.....20-30K does a whole lotta damage if you go tin. This will be the last boat (I hope) I ever buy. Wanna be sure I get all I can, and that it does all I want!
Momma does get perturbed when I talk tin. She likes the eye-candy of glass, AND it has to be red!
listen to your wife regardless--YOU will be much happier :)
Go with one of the big Seaark boats. They have Bay,Cat styles that would make great Crappie boats.
Looked at a War Eagle 2170 but it was huge. Some MCC members fish out of them. Bigger ain't allways better. Check out the degree on the hull before buying.
May want to look and drive my 961 Blackhawk. In the price range your looking at. If you only fish open water all the timeI would look at the 2170. I would recommend at least a 150 on anything over 20 feet. JMO.

Yeah...Bigger aint always better... I know this sounds silly, but I want the boat to be big enough, without being to big. I will fish open water with it, but also small ponds, the old river at Grenada, shallow water in the spring, bream, bass, crappie, may even put it in the river to catch some catfish during the summer....
I am just like Goldilocks. Its gotta be "just right."
Even a 2072 is going to be oversized in the old river run when water is down. I've had my 20' cat in there a bunch and when it's low, it can be a pain to load. That said, if all I had was 24', it could be done.
The problem with all tin boats, is a 1648 rides just the same as a 2072 on the big water. Some better than others, but none are great.

Buy a good used boat hard head, crappie24s boat was in your price range and its one helluva ride!!!!
Get off the wallet, buy a big glass boat and your grandkids will thank you one day.
What would moma rather have been in by the time you and I got back to the ramp this past summer, mine or a big tin boat? You know the answer and mine is 25 years older than anything you are looking at.

I dont know anything about this boat other than it is red and looks like a heck of a buy to me. Even if you had to put 5 grand in it you would have a sweet ride, Or spend 50 grand to get a new one like it. Just my:twocents and Its a ranger
If I were gonna get a tin boat, I would not go too big. I think some manufacturers have not been able to get the twist and flex out of a bigger boat. This can lead to stress cracks and broken welds in a boat once it gets a little age on it. Just another reason to go glass.
Xpress makes a 24' Bay Boat with Hyper Lift pad ride hull.
This is the H20 PFC Crappie model with the Hyper Lift Pad Ride hull. Very stable, no twist, and NO breaking welds here!!!!! FAST too!!! :-) Attachment 147143
They get SHALLOW too!!!!Attachment 147145
Check out the 190TX Tracker that BRM has in the adds. I absolutely love mine and I fish all those places you mentioned.
This is the H24 Bay Boat. Check em out at www.xpressboats.com. Attachment 147155
Check out the H18 PFC. It's an 18' crappie model with a 94" beam and Hyper Lift hull AND it's Way in your price range!!!!!!

Here is a nice one.
I haven't looked in last couple of years but like Wannabe said, at one time Sea Ark made the biggest tin on the market, this may not be the case now tho.
I really like my SeaArk....Its 18 ft. long and has plenty of room
I have a 22' express, it fishes 4 people pretty easy and I've had no problems running it in the big water of lake Ontario and its bays and it will float in a foot of water.
Look at excel it is the toughest tin boat made !!!!!!!

I have the Xpress HD20 with a 200 SHO. You could put a 115 on it and rig it for crappie and it would be great. Really good ride and I fish mostly in that little 186,000 acre lake Toledo Bend. I would recommend no carpet for crappie fishing. Mine is carpeted on the decks, but not the floor. BRM may correct me, but it should go 45 with the 115, maybe 51 with a 150.
Go here and look till your hearts content, lot of rigs here and some fairly close.

War Eagle makes a 23' footer
Bet of you check with war-eagle. They could turn this hull http://wareagleboats.com/boats/1/2170-blackhawk
Attachment 147289 and this pic but its bigger then I can post. http://wareagleboats.com/public/user...lackhawk_6.jpg
As you can see this 21ft boat is set up for crappie fishing on there website. I have owned 2 wareagles, and would have bougth one of the above boats if they had come out with the hull faster. In 2008 They told me this boat was coming. But did not wait. Also the Sea-Ark 240 with walk through windshield would make the biggest and baddest on the water. PLus outride most of them . And comes with a 100 gallon live well and a bait well that would hold 10 lbs of minnows.
into a 21 ft crappie boat like there 961 Predator http://wareagleboats.com/public/user...or_mainpic.jpg
They also make a 2370 Blackhawk but they don't have it on their new website.
That's my buddy John H. new boat with him in it. They custom made it to the specs he requested. They'll build them the way you want it for the $$$$
