Ice fishing for crappie in AR.? That would be to cool!
Bust a trail in the am , suppose to be above freeze'n tomarrow.
Anyone braving it today? Wanted to, have to head to work tommorow for 15 days, wanted to squeeze one more day on the water, but don't want to be ice breaker lol.
Water is frozen solid up here in NEA
Some of you kayak fishermen need to be all over this. Just slide the kayak out on the ice. If the ice breaks, no big deal. Punch a hole and go get some. You can use a garden rake as a paddle to give you some grip on the ice.
Oops...just let slip out another million dollar idea...kayak ice paddles $59.95 =($12 dollar garden rake from Walmart).
Looks like the crappie will get a couple day break. They better look out after the thaw.
Saw a ice breaker this morning on the lake here
Dont worry JW will bring the chasing tail up and break it up for us. I seen him do it once already. LOL
I got a boat that will break it up to 2" thick. You better put you some ear plugs in while I'm breaking it!!
That ice should break pretty easy. Surely there's a duck hunter around there that will run in there just for the giggle in it!!
great pics thanks for sharing info
Ice was even thicker today, may be frozen through the weekend
Drove to gold creek landing this afternoon and the ice was still a good 2" thick , looked like someone had tried to launch but ice was to thick and they gave up
