Bad Storm
Well, we're getting hammered here in NW Indiana...we already had 13 inches last week, and now another 14 or so on top of it. As of 6 p.m. tonight all roads in Porter County will be closed, except for emergency vehicles. All plows are being pulled off the roads until morning...some people are enjoying this, but as for me, I have to shovel to get out and it's not going well...been out doing it most of the day and I'm just plain tuckered out from doing it...still haven't made it down to the highway...too much snow. Tomorrow the anticipated wind chill is going to be -43...stay inside and stay safe.

Hang in there spring is on it's way. It is so cold here in central Indiana I had to wipe my nose with an ice scraper
-
I feel for you brother.......I hate snow!!!!!
-
Going to be about 15 down here, will set a new record low for Tuesday. I'll pray for y'all. Stay warm.

-
blowing rite back shut here. i parked at the end of the driveway. i cant shovel much with my back anymore. id like to place some IEDs for those freekin plow trucks.
-
plows already trashed my mailbox...this makes the fourth one they got now...grrrrrr
Can't wait for spring, this cold weather is for the birds.
-
ah that sucks man! you get any compensation for that? get you some iron workers and masons to prevent that. lol 10ft section of buried 10" pipe full of cement mite help. there are some real chunky boxes around here in the country.
-
Thats not a mailbox, thats a crash post, lol!!!

Well, it took me 4 days to dig out, then my car wouldn't start, cost me 70 bucks for a jump so I could go to work and make 72 bucks...what's wrong with this picture...and now, it's 32 and we're supposed to get rain tomorrow.
Gimme Spring, I'm so ready...need some crappies in my fryin' pan to ease the pain of Winter.
-
Continuing saga...most of the snow is gone, with exception a a fresh 4 inches that fell the other day, and now they're saying there's a good possibility that we're gonna get hit with a whoppin' 24 inches by days end tomorrow....say a prayer that the wind changes and it goes somewhere else, I'm sick of snow and soooooo ready to look for some Spring crappies.
-
its cold in florida too but it would still be better than snow
-
Yeah...I'm sick of shoveling "global warming" out of my drive way and worrying about "global warming" freezing my pipes...:yikes
-
got lucky, the storm stalled in Lake County and barely touched Porter County as predicted by the National Weather Service...just 1 mile from where I work there were white out conditions with cars travelling at a mere 2 - 3 mph while the area I was in experienced clear blue skies for the better part of the day and only ended up with about an inch of powder. Many areas in Lake county got anywhere from 16 inches up to 20 inches of wet snow, which fell at a rate of 2-3 inches per hour.
