When I was a teen, I changed a water pump on a Chevy 350 with a screwdriver and a pair of channel lock pliers.
I've dug them with a jackhammer when it was this cold.
Do we work at the same place?? Too many college educated people with no field experience or people skills round here..
I did question that once to my general manager. He told me that he has no idea what I do and how I communicate with clients, but what he knows is how to find people like me that do. I understood then. Just sayin.
I once had a good customer who changed management. Soon after, they started giving all their business to my competition. I pulled up to their place of business one day and the new guy boss was trying to figure out how to hook up a trailer hitch to a truck ball. No kidding! He could not figure it out! I talked to him for a bit and just left him there to figure it out. Soon after he was fired and my business returned as normal. Sometimes you just got to let them hang themselves.
Must be in the water. Evey direct boss I've ever had has been as far off track as can be.
Good boss or bad boss.......it still pays the same lol

t he private sector is a different world from "education" but you want to see a train wreck get involved ! As recent as two yrs. ago some districts passed a rule that you had to have a high school diploma to teach there regardless of what and how many college degrees you have .Sounds impossible ? If a drop-out qualifies for government assistance , passes the ged. ( now online) and gets a college degree you can not deny them a state job, Based on high school background if your school has no local district policy against it . They are pushed ahead of better quality teachers due to state/federal, quotas/ regulations .When you drive by your old school the buildings may be the same but only by looks . we regulate (legislate) all these requirements and test and they are searching for a way now to get the drop out (potential) out of the class room so scores can improve . This is one of thousands of such crazy practices going on in Mississippi schools .:dono
Affirmative Action. Another way to force you to hire LESS qualified people.
