We are self destructing.....Ouch
Bama deserved to lose. I called it straight up before it happened. I told someone before they started pounding Henry that they needed to run him more but would try and pass instead. I said they have enough time to run but will try to throw the ball around. They did just that and it did not work. Then they came back and used Henry and scored and what did they do they pulled him out again. They went back to other stuff. Then I said you watch when they get to where they do not have enough time left to run it and catch up they will try and run it again. That is exactly what they tried. They were controlling the line and run blocking well and when the right back was running they could not slow him down. They did not utilize him enough. That is the same thing that happened in the Auburn game. Drake was running on Auburn and got pulled. Oklahoma got 28 points on turnovers. If you are running your best player and moving the ball well, then you are not forced into as many situations where you turn the ball over. You put yourself in predicaments that cause turnovers. That is being outcoached. When you get outcoached you usually get outplayed. The offensive coordinator could have controlled a lot of those mistakes by giving the ball to the best back more often. Saban should consider replacing him.
Oklahoma was more physical on both the offensive and defensive line. Regardless of turnovers, OU whipped Bama...but that Henry is a freak. Looked better to me than Ingram or Lacey.
Reminds me of Adrian Peterson. He's scary.
Yeldon ain't even in the same league as Henry.
Dang Bammer....let down the whole SEC!!!!!
Whiffed.... Still 11-2 , need to develope a QB this spring for next year.....scared of Simms
Henry is a beast! I think that was the first time i have ever cheered for OU! Loved watchn Saban come unglued!
U guys r right Saban is the best coach I've ever seen. It only took him 13 games to figure out Henry's the best RB he's got. And I thought Drake was good. Thank God he didn't run either of em against Auburn. What a coach!
Oh my goodness, y'all watch this. http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles...t-oklahoma-fan
exactly Joe, this is what I have been trying to say. Bama was not the best at every position or on both sides of the ball against every team they played in the 2 years they won titles. They controlled the clock and used the most productive backs consistantly and never allowed the other teams to exploit any weaknesses. When you control the clock and running game and pound your opponent, you eventually break them down if you have the talent. Oklahoma only exploited Alabama on defense because Alabama allowed them too. Oklahoma was more physical in pass rushing Alabama too, but none of that would have even mattered if Bama woukld have stuck with running the backs who would have won the game for them.
For those of you who are not aware the kid set just about all the national highschool records. Henry was better than Yeldon coming in, and Drake is better than Yeldon too. Drake actually was playing in the Auburn game and was effective and Auburn was not stopping him. Bama pulled him out. Bama got beat in both games because they did not utilize 2 of their better players enough. Henry only ran the ball 8 times. If you have something that can win for you and you choose to go back to what is not working then you deserve to lose.
