I am redoing my boat and was wondering which would you go with single rod holders or the T - Bar style with the four. I have been reading up on them thinking about going with the single one. Also looking at some HDS5 electronics. Just asking

I am rather new at the long-lining thing and I started out with the T-bar. I do not know how to compare, but I have enjoyed success fishing this way. However, that being said...I have heard that single holders will not shake other rods as a fish strikes a rod. I must admit that I all four of my poles will shake a little when one fish is on...I have to make a quick scan to figure out which rod has the fish on. Not sure if I'm splitting hairs. There's my two cents.
personal opinion, t-bar is what I had on my bass boat. just keep them clear of the trolling motor raise and lower activity. Miss seeing your posts, Ranger
I fished with T-Bars for years and loved them. They just didn't work out on the boat I have now. CG1 makes a good point about clearance for the trolling motor.
I have been really busy with church, school, and work. I have been fishing just have not been posting anything been keeping to myself. Have been seeing a lot of disgruntled people and some post that I think don't make any sense or belong here, If I wanted that I would get a personal Facebook account or something. Everything is great though how about out you crappie girl long time no hear or see.
definitely the T bar type....Take a look over in Sponsor Classifieds at the Spiderlocks that E-Z Poleholder is selling
G if he is Fishing any of Slabs lakes he only needs one pole :Rofl
PM sent.
Ranger. Everything said is in fun as we all have become friends through the slab fests and like to kid around a lot. Miss u posting and hope all the babies r well
I mounted my trolling motor in a way that it does not get in the way of rod holders, front fish finder, or compartment doors etc. Attachment 146317Attachment 146317
T-bars are fine for trolling but singles for tightlining are by far superior. I have 12 singles and will NEVER spiderrig with t-bars again, at least not in my own boat
The kids are doing great and getting big, like I said have been going fishing not like i use to almost three times a week. Will be done with school in May, so I have really been concentrating on that. Hope all is well with you.
Was just asking already have a set of cumberland crappie T-Bar sets in the front, when I finish the boat I was trying to see waht to put on them. I have seen some professionals use the driftmaster series and have seen the ones that SYG have on his boat thru some pictures. Just trying to see which is best, was thinking since I already have the cumberland crappie ones to put them on the back of the boat and the single ones on the front.
