Went out today from 7-12 fished browns creek area. Despite the wind and rain ended up with 20 slabs ranging from 13-16 inch fish. All were caught 6-8 ft of water on bobby garland jigs vertical jigging. Sorry forgot to take pic before cleaning em.

Good catch, congrats on a good day!!!
Greene I had 19 today. The shad were so thick that I think the crappie had been feeding so heavily they were not hungry.
yes goosepond area.
Good job GG! Thanks for a good report and those are some awesome fish like that!!
Thanks guys and seen a couple BASS pros on the water it's only gonna get worse with the classic coming up soon stay safe out there
Good job glad someone is getting to fish.
Nice catch! Funny the BASS pros are out there now because really they will not be where they are now - then. I know several of the guys and a couple I know have already scouted, but really I don't have the heart to tell them it really will do them no good, if they really want to win. Surely to God, they realize that? If not, really they shouldn't be fishing in the Classic, more locals should. The big sticks around here would probably beat half of them. The fish that will win, aren't even in those spots yet. I wouldn't have to pre-fish that one, if I was in it, lolz. I do understand they only have a certain time frame they can pre-fish, but they won't learn much now. It will be interesting to see if anyone goes to a couple of my hidden spots that took me more than 40 years to find. They will be ripping the biggest fish in the lake right out of pre spawn areas, though, and running them to Birmingham I guess. Isn't that where the weigh-ins are? Kind of makes me sick. If I remember correctly, Charlie caught the Guntersville lake record that has stood for so long in Feb. It was a windy day by the way. The wind really is our friend, even if we do dog cuss it a lot :) He told me he caught a couple over 10 pounds before catching the record that day, too.
Yea I think Chris Lane has a very good shot at winning and from what I've heard there transporting the fish back to Guntersville after weigh in but it still can't be good on the fish
