I think its cause you are wearing a very old C.C hat ........you have to keep up with the times to keep up with the fish.
Way to kick ass on Christmas.
Best wishes on the coming new year.
More than I caught today.....
That is an old hat. It's just an extra one I had on the boat. The one I was wearing fell in the water so I had to wear that one.
One thing I can say with great certainty. Griffin is a very consistent lake for fishing. I always seem to catch one crappie.
Seriously, prolly fished it 2 dozen times over the last year and a half and 95% of the time it's one crappie. Hmm, I always release it, wonder if it's the same one! Doh
mark it and see lol.....I still have my first C.C hat and its like that one except mine has crappie.com in yellow letters across the fish
Seems as if you need to come back to Talquin where the REAL fish live. lol
At least you were on the water!!
Never been but heard GREAT tales about the fishing there. Planning a trip sometime in Jan. after the CrappieUSA tourn. Probably the holiday weekend. Definitely could use some pointers for a new goober there.
Speaking of reject hats, I think you sold me one, it fits the 6 year old kid next door very well.
Even if a sad shiner, it beats scraping ice any day, if I may say Slab, you look thawed & you can move your extremities, just look at that smile! Who needs snow for Christmas anyways...
I think once we get these holidays over and crescent out of the way.....I'm gonna hit griffin from one end to the other!!!! ....not saying you don't know how to fish......it's just I know there's big fish there!!!! Just gotta find em'!!!! We caught some nice ones last year and it should be one year better. What's the lawn crew reporting?? DON"T GIVE UP!!:Rofl
That poor fish looks like a catfish ate it and spit it out. When you get to Toledo Bend, you and fishervet can have a 1 fish contest. ( just kidding vet, don't forget the beer)
Need to visit Crescent at once in near future while its in the hot stage...............
Its a trip you won't forget...............It is a pulling (long-lining) trolling style lake.
Spider riggers can do ok but long-lining is way to go. Spend a couple days there
to honestly get the feel of something beautiful besides the fishing it produces.
You may also catch Flounder - Snook - Lady Fish - Red Fish - Big Gar - Mud Fish
(also monsters) Crappie - Bluegill - Shellcrakers & at least 4 different spices of
catfish..........
i can tell you all ate GOOD :Rofl
Here is my two cents for fishing Griffin...live bait and vertical jigging. It may not even be worth two cents, but there it is.
looks like you found that crappie floating and put it on a hook.
I know your problem, you lost your touch. You muscles think they are still shoveling snow instead of pulling in crappie. Thats alright, you will be fine when you go to Crescent. See you there.
