Nice ties, really nice job! I closed the other thread for you.
Thanks skip!
Merry Christmas!
Nice ties as always. Merry Christmas and good luck tomorrow.
Nice ties, I really like that top one!!
If those don't catch fish it's cause they ain't there. Great ties. That top one should catch fish anywhere there are shad.
Ain't but one thing wrong with those, they ain't gonna be on my rods.
Very nice!!
Would you mind sharing how you tied the top jig? ie materials.
Ok silver thread . I mix-blend olive and kingfisher crafthair for the top then white craft hair on bottom. Add mallard flank on the two sides then I mix peacock Krystal flash and herrin UV flash about 4 strands each on the top above the olive kingfisher blend. The flash on the sides I can't remember it's name it's not Krystal flash but pearl qualities . I apply 5 strands aside. This is a jig I did for a friend in Ky. Who is on a good small mouth bite.
Those are nice!!
Real nice job look real nice. Gary
Top one is killer. Have to tie up a bunch of them myself. Dont mean to hyjack your thread.. Most of the DNR,Wildlife and fisheries, Conservation Commission what ever your state calls them does survey of the baitfish in the lakes most of you fish. It it is on the web.It may take a little hunting I found our lake. Watch this it will dovetail in to this thread. The two primary bait fish for Caddo Lake Texas side is Threadfin Shad and Gizzard Shad. the survey points out the a full 80% of the game fish feed on these two baitfish. The only time when a shad pattern fail me down here is when the baby catfish come in to the shallows when the crappie are in shallow. Then anything black is winner, winner Chicken Dinner.
Redman
Thanks for the info!
Redman, I was just wondering how you were doing today. Haven't seen you on the site in a while. I've been a little busy with grandsons an work and don't get online nearly as much as I would like. Still good to see you are doing okay and giving good advice. Always read your input because I knew I could learn something.
Best to you.
Bronson
