I am with you guys.... They need to tell A&E to jump in the swamp in La. I have known Phil since the 80s. He & Mike King from Corinth used to hunt together quite a bit. I called him for our DU banquet in the mid 90s. Still got his cell phone & talk to him still. Couldn't ask for a nicer guy.. All this said, they came to him, Phil did not go to them. They knew what they were getting when they signed them. Phil didn't need them back then & don't need them now. People have the right to express their opinions. The constitution we live by allows us to speak our opinions. You don't have to agree, you are entitled to yours. That's what makes us a free country. I believe that the good book is pretty plain on the subject, so I'll stick with it... As for Phil.. I say "that a boy"... Tell em what you think- I am sure there is a TV station that would love to have the income from Duck Dynasty...(just my opinion here)
Seems to me that as Americans we only have freedom of speech as long as the FAR LEFT agree with what we have to say.

About 15 years ago Phil came and spoke at our DU banquet, the only way he would speak is if there was NO alcohol what so ever it was the first DU Banquet that I am aware of that didn't have Budweiser there. a few of us had the pleasure of spending the day with him and shooting some sporting clays together. Anytime you mention God, Prayer, Morals, discipline your kids, the flag, your going to have a problem. People in this country have made hero's & stars out of the most degenerate people of our time. They have tv shows, movies etc. How does a handful out weigh millions? I'm from the Old School, and I think I' just plain wrong. I don't watch any of their shows.

What I said is that we all have the right to say what we want. Companies have a right to employ at will. If I got on here and started ranting and raving about how bad my company was (which BTW is not true) that's certainly expressing my opinion, but do you really think the company shouldn't have the right to boot my butt out? Exactly why most major companies have social media policies now. If I were the manager over HR do you think I ought to go around stating an opinion on Gays being immoral, etc. given that companies by definition of equal and fair hiring can not discriminate? That might be stating my personal opinion, but it won't go over well in the real employment world. I never stated I agreed or disagreed with either his choice of words or AE choice to terminate him. Your reading it wrong Chris....its a good thing....They are removeing all the Duck Dynasty products ( Those are A and E's) They are keeping all the Duck Commander products ( Those are the Robertsons).
Duck Dynasty is A and E's......Duck Commander is the Robertsons
I read on Facebook where the Duck Dynasty and Duck Commander merchandise are both owned by the Robertsons. A and E make a 7% royalty off of the merchandise for the Duck Dynasty name. I think Cracker Barrel is removing all merchandise with Phil's picture on it. We can eat at Chick-Fil-A.
