Left pic is a hen hooded merganser. I sure hated to leave at 8am even though nothing was going on. It was a pretty morning.
Shooting trash ducks instead of mallards is like keeping white bass instead of crappie..... sure ya can but why would ya?? :)Quote:

Loved Duck hunting!!!! When Mr Fed Green jeans was waiting on the bank to check our Ducks in blue jeans and a white tee shirt and we had everything we could get on to keep warm (10 deg )they fed's can keep their ducks!!! Still love duckabobs!!! Have to shoot a couple(ducks Greenheads) after everyone else quits (all Legal) Hurricane lake!! Hunt in the morning/crappie fish/bowhunt in the afternoon!!!!
That may be why it tasted like a feathered liver. Woodies and teal eat best. Greenheads are just good for pictures. :twocentsQuote:
