Arkansas bear
I just wanted to post a few pics and share with everyone our 2013 hunting season . I caught this brute of a bear on game cam just after muzzleloading season closed so I immediately went home and got my camping gear ready . We have a 1000 acre farm in rushing Ar about a fourty min drive from my house ... I knew that this boy was staying close in the area but was only showing himself at night So I get my tent set up my mr heater ready and make myself at home I had him patterned coming in every third evening and never in the a.m or daylight hours for 16 straight days I stayed camped out on this bear the morning we finally meet up I'm sitting on the backside of the farm over a bluff line that overlooks the river There is no possible way of me describing the vast steepness of this hillside that he came up but neways I'm sitting on a big boulder of a rock on the end of this point that overlooked a small flat bench that rounded from my right to left before it dropped off to the river ... When he came up I'm gunna say he winded me when he topped the peak he immediately took off in an amazingly fast black blur when I cut one loose with that Winchester model 70 338 ultra mag I hit him on a dead run through the woods in the back flank he then balled up and starting biting himself where that slug of a bullet burnt him. After jacking another shell into the chamber I put the follow up through both lungs. ... Attachment 144630Attachment 144631Attachment 144632Attachment 144633Attachment 144634

That was a three blade hundred grain muzzy on that heart shot ... It impressed me I slammed a doe with the same arrow broadhead and blades a week later I like em

The pic of three bucks the one in front my ol lady killed with her horton supermag 2 days before our 1st muzzleloading season and I killed the tall eye guarded buck either the 2nd or 3rd morning I and then that evening we say back up in one of our bow stands she's sitting on a ladder stand and I got a binder mounted above and behind the tree running the video cam anyways the eight pt in my theory ... This being from the code blue I had on the bottom of my boots He trailed me down walked my exact path I took in there and unfortunately I had to shoot him we was on a hillside overlooking a hot bench and he came through a hay field down a fence line hopped it and trailed us down

That's a big bear! Never tried any, but heard differing opinions on their status as table fare. Hope to get the opportunity one day. Thanks and congrats again.
