10' Ozark rear seat. Light as a feather and perfect for jigging shallow or deep. The rear reel seat gives you an extra foot of reach. It has a soft tip, good for jigging shallow, and good backbone for pulling em up out of deep water. You can get an 11 footer if you want a stiffer rod and more reach, but it is a little too heavy IMO. For situations where I need a longer reach, I like my 12' BGJP forward seat. It's not too heavy and is well balanced.Quote:

cmj is right I have both a 10 and 11 ft Ozark.....flat out love the 10 and how light it is.....and I certainly like the 11 ft rod...but wish I had got two 10ft rods........
Cant go wrong with a 10ft or an 11ft Ozark. CMJ is correct. My 11ft can get a little heavy fishing all day, but I love the backbone of the 11ft pulling those big ones out of brush

I love a 11 footer when fishing open water, bigger boats, windy days. I love the 10 footer in smaller boats, calmer sea's, and shallow water. I love the, lightness, bend and sensitivety of the 10 footer. If I had to pick just one them, I am going with the rear seat 10 footer...but love them both. You aint Jigging unless your fishing in the Ozark's BABY!!! They are Crappie Pro approved.
When the fish are biting any pole you got will do the job by all means! Ozark seams to be what jiggers are liking. I just got 2-12fters and 2-14fters in the mail. Won't be tried out till late march but they are here anyways! I have a 10ft bnm pole I prefer for jigging an sadly don't get to do much anymore.
I only jig fish and use forward seat Ozarks. I have a 12' and several 11' poles. I can say they have plenty of backbone to lift in a slab.:twocents Being I seldom use a landing net on Crappie.:fish
