Question for condo makers

I found a pic on the net with something like this condo that I made, and was wondering what would be the best way to keep the pipes from twirling around the rebar.

What do ya'll think?

pretty neat concept pstone right off the bat only thing comes to mind is could you use two peices of rebar

What you need to do is to cut a piece of vinal flooring into a triangle about three inches long and screw the long end to one pipe and the pointed end to the other pipe where they intersect. I have made some using vinal fencing and made them about 7to8 feet wide. This way they wont spin around.

Thanks guys for the ideas. I thought about the 2 peices of rebar, but the holes would be awfull hard to drill. I'm going to try the other two ideas first, then if I have to, I'll do the 2 rods.

ya cement sounds good to me i know that stuff is strong but years under water woundnt bet the rent on it either

If you used all-thread, you could run a nut down on it until tight.
my other thought is, what would make it spin in the first place?

one more thought, I would hate to have the kids go swimming and jump on that rod sticking up.

when u finish putting it together on the boat u have to bend the rebar over so the tubes dont come off

You are correct, and I thought about that also. It will be safe, I'm going to drop it in deep water anyway.

I thought about the all thread too, but the short peices of rebar are free, I pour concrete slabs for a living.

I understand what you are after, but i am not sure the pipe would spin that much, to be concerned about it. especially when the wind is calm enough to let you fish. The rebar thing could be dangerous and i'm sure you will put
the attractors out in deeper water.

There are probably no less than hundred millon miles of pvc water pipe in this country that hold pressure. Do you really think the lake water is going to afect it? I don't think so. and it is the simpelest soloution to his problem
