How many of you use hook snaps(commercial name)to attach jig so that the jig swings free while fishing? This little snap functions like a loop knot but saves time when changing jigs-which I am constantly doing.

Loop knot or duo lock snap. Old fingers can't unhook those little snaps your talking about.
Never heard of those, but I use fasnaps religiously. Saves a lot of time when I am spidering with jigs.

I use the #1. Got em on all my spider rig setups.
Great for spider rigging, unsnap one and snap on another. Done!
Y'all are edumacating me. Only time I have used em before is with cranks. I vertical jig this time of year being addicted to the thump. I'll have to try them in everyday applications. The duo-lock is the only ones I have after so many of the others filing at some point.
I use the fast snaps for jigs and gnats
I use the Norman speed clips. They are just like split rings, but you just squeeze the front and they open up.
I use them when using gnats but still use loop knot while single pole fishing .:popcorn
Not a fan of them. Something else for a fish to see
I always use "Snap Hooks" (via Netcraft) on all my jigs when fishing. Gives them a much freer action in the water. The DuoLock variety is a much heavier wire than those offered by Netcraft. The ones here (from Netcraft) were designed for attaching to flies to the leaders, for the fly fishermen, so they are ultra thin, springy wire and not very visible, in my opinion. I use the mid-size (#2) for 1/32 - 1/16 oz. jigs. Never had an adverse affect on my catch ratio, with others in the boat not using them. So, it works for me! :)
I used to use fast snaps when fishing a jig on a float. Bill Dance was using it on one of his crappie shows and said it kept the lure laying horizontal in the water.
Now I use a fluorocarbon knot and pull the knot back towards the point of the hook. You can find out how to tie it on Youtube. Look for best fluorocarbon knot. It's more difficult to tie but to me it's worth it.
I use the snaps when searching for fish with crankbaits, only because I can switch much faster that way. For everything else I tie directly to the lure.
